    Sam,
trying to keep in touch with the latest hardware but Damn, it seems like every week a new cpu, motherboard, chipset etc, is on the market.By next year who knows where things will be at??
Will AMD have something decent to offer or will they become another cyrix??
Lets hope they come up with some competition at least!?

God help us if the day comes where we have a choice of Intel or Intel!!!

    Regards,Crowy.

Who knows, it's best for everyone's sake that doesn't happen, and AMD's research seems to be coming up with some interesting developments. Nonetheless at the moment, AMD are still in the performance duldrums, for fast approaching 2 years.

From all the reviews I have read the Original Striker can't overclock at all.

    abuzar1,
I wasn't talking about the original Striker, I was talking about the Striker Extreme revision they sell now. Some one here has one and they indicated that they were very happy with it! Thanks to bios updates, the original Striker is supposed to be better now. That's what I see down the road for the Striker Extreme II. It has some great potential and if nVidia can get there act together, it's potentially a great MB. It's just not ready for Prime Time yet! LOL!!

    Best Regards,
    Russ

Is the Striker II a 680 or 780 board? If it's a 680 then by the time it'll be ready it'll be obsolete...

I'm gonna have a Red front fan and blue Side fan. I'm thinking about getting a Green top fan to finish it off.

Lights was one thing I wanted to do when I had my Armor(it had a clear side panel). I wanted to install those cold cathode tubes that would turn on and off to music.

Only thing is, I don't like clear side panels. That was a big reason I got the CM690.

Hey GM, I know you are always looking at deals on this and that...start a thread in the PC Hardware forum like "bargain bin" or "Good Deals" and I'll sticky it for you. Then we will have a centralized place to look for good buys.

    abuzar1,
Here I was thinking that we had taught you better than that! LOL!! 39.29 dBA!! With only a very limited speed range of 200 rpm (1800-2000 rpm) it makes almost as much noise at full chat, and a lot less cfm as my Silverstone does at 2400 rpm. At 1300 rpm the FM-121-B still moves more air and makes a lot less noise doing it! Unfortunately, no lights. Seriously, that's one very loud fan!

    Best Regards,
    Russ

The project codename for the Khaos was the CS831, I see they've finally found an official name - sadly, they seem to have stuck with the initial price tag... Still, it's no more expensive than a high end Lian Li case. Then again, if you were going to spend that much on a case, it should really be a Mountain Mod:
Note the comparative size of the motherboard to the case!

Oh and yeah, Abuzar, that Logisys fan will be one loud mofo without a controller!
