Thanks friends for all your imput...BUT dash34 has some family issues and had to leave the state for a while... after doing some reading [much] this is not an uncommon thing w/ my mobo. 939 mobos that will hold everyth8ing I have plus am going to put two more Sata drive in are getten harder to get...my thought is maybe sense I dont know when dash is coming back I better start looking for another mobo...I dont do my own work because Im nervse and cannot have my machine down for very long...so any ideas would be great. I do not do much gaming but try and build towards that scale-

It's funny, I had a bit of a time trying to find a replacement for my 939 board too.

    @ sammorris

I know... just wanted to read something different LOL, LOL... like some names of some mobos...I can still get the same mobo for half the price I paid for mine[$224.00 2yrs ago about a $100.00 now] ...just not sure about it- was wondering if there is anything else out there in 939 thats offers the same as what I have? You guys here are my only hope... I have always looked highly at the amount of knowledge offered here and Doc tys thread...well for that matter everywhere ive been at AD.

The A8N-SLI range (provided they don't break, most don't, I just got unlucky) are supposed to be good and feature heavy. If you can find the deluxe or premium, I believe they come with 8 S-ATA ports.

I am not real familiar with this board...It does have (8) sata's...PC-3200 memory...It is suppose to be one of the better 939 pin boards...Its hard to find 939 boards anymore...So just wanted to throw this one out to you...read some reviews and let us know what you think...

I recommended the Sunbeam controller...but...I'm pretty sure I didn't recommend Delta's..:p...I haven't used a Delta since the 60mm CPU cooler days...

    Golden rule of computing.

No PC EVER needs Delta fans. EVER.
I have ridiculous 2400rpm silverstones at the moment, and my PC doesnt overheat if i runt hem at 500rpm. At 1600 I get good temps, at 2400, the temps are the same as for 1600.

what is the dumbest thing you have done when building a computer?

like wondering why windows wont detect your hard drive when you never pluged in the SATA cable.
