No. However, there is no PC currently available that can run Crysis on max no matter how much money you spend. You will be looking at around $1200 at least to run Crysis on high, though.
Yeah, I'd say with careful parts selections you could squeeze an 8800GT into $1000. It'd be tight. I'll see later what I can piece together and bring up a list.
Here it is: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115029 GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059 Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 PC2 6400 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146565 XFX GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150252 Thermaltake Tsunami ATX Mid Tower Computer Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133137 Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148262 OCZ GameXStream 600W Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341001 LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106073 FINAL PRICE: $977.92 If you wanted monitors and keyboards and stuff included, I'm sorry. I probably could squeeze them in by cutting a few corners on other parts.
ugh, a GameXstream Estuansis? really? Either get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139001 or on a tighter budget, this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341010
Or you could head to your local BestBuy and nab a 8800GT 512MB for 250. Also they actually have it in STOCK you know lol.
yeah thats a pretty good computer parts...and cheap...but the PSU...didn't you guys say that it need the correct amount of Amps?
You need a reasonable amp figure on the 12V rail, yes, but consider my PC only uses about 210W at DC. That's not a great deal of amps there...
hmm...ok...i have a question...i have xp 32-bits, i know that if you have 4gb of ram it only register 2-3gb...but does the system only use 3 out of 4gb of ram or is it using the 4gb but it only shows 3?
Why, what's wrong with the GameXStream. As far as I know OCZ has delivered nothing but quality with its GameXStream series.
It's just inferior to most similarly priced units. Issues with the fan control, huge ripple on the outputs, there are better PSUs out there for that price.
From every review I've seen and from every friend who has one, they offer good output, little to no ripple, and are very high quality. I have no idea what PSU you're looking at, but I don't think it's an OCZ part. Other than that, look at the latest review on Anandtech. AMD Phenom. The performance isn't so great in some areas but they hold up well in gaming. Pricing is going to be a little high but I'll buy one. I'm looking at the 2.6GHz
It's the GameXstream. I can't speak for other OCZ units but it's an FSP Epsilon underneath, which when tested also had very high ripple.
Is it just the GameXStream 600W? Or is it all GameXStream PSUs? You recommended a StealthXStream 600W which has many of the same parts as the GameXStream 700W. Note: BOLD as not to be confusing And while we're on the topic, how do you rate Ultra PSUs? I see them A LOT at tigerdirect.
I have a Ultra XVS 700W modular power supply. Seems like a nice solid PSU so far. EDIT: In fact I got it with my case for 150 dollars. Usually don't buy PSU with case but all the reviews spoke HIGHLY of the PSU so I bought it.
That's exactly it. All the reviews I've seen of the 600W OCZ GameXStream have been saying it's excellent. But even then, FSP is a good brand anyway and I would happily use one. I don't know about the Epsilon, but most FSP(Fortron) units I've seen are quality. By the way, nice case abuzar1
