    abuzar1,
I don't much fancy either of them as neither of them perform very well acording to Tomshardware and Anandtech. The Zalman CNPS9500 LED and the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro both cool a good deal better. I don't like coolers that throw off their heat to the side. I mean, why throw all that heat towards your video card? Not when there's usually a whopping big 120mm fan in the rear of most modern cases, just behind the CPU cooler. You're much better off with something that pushes the hot air to the rear, away from everything!

When I bought a Zalman CNPS9500 LED, I looked up tests on all the CPU coolers I could find and the Scythe Katana did very poorly in all of those tests! Still, the Scythe Katana is the better of the 2!

this is also a very good cpu hsf. second only to the thermalright ultra 120 extreme but it is heavy and bulky.

When I saw the Thermalright, I thought the second link from you was gonna be the Tuniq Tower. Unfortunately I can't afford either. Can we keep it within 35 dollars?

Overclocked from 1.8Ghz to 3Ghz, and Overvolted from 1.325V to 1.425V, I get around 49C at full fan speed, around 53C at 70% fan speed, and this is in a hot room.

It is this week, but my room is anyway, I don't keep it well ventilated.

heh, my CPU and GPU combined use 270W power full load. Even a Prescott P4 only uses 90W.

    Sam & Mort81
Both of them are pretty tall as well as heavy. The tuniq tower is about the heaviest cooler I've ever seen. 798g without the fan and 153mm tall! The Thermalright is right behind it at 790g without the fan and a whopping 160.50mm tall! Both of them have difficulties fitting inside of some cases, and a side fan or CPU duct would be out of the question on most cases! Besides he did indicate the need for something less expensive in his earlier post, and he did inquire about 2 coolers that were under $30, and he did say that he's not a gamer!

Then I'd say I gave him a good answer with the Freezer 7 Pro...

I never said I wasn't a gamer, I've been playing video games since I was three. I just never have had good enough PCs to play the latest games but I have always had the latest consoles.

I noticed something strange, my PSU fan is pretty much the only exhaust. I have another 120mm fan for exhaust but when I put my hand behind it there seems no be no air exiting from it.
