Historically I never played them either until one boring day when I decided to play FFVII. It turned out to be very good, one of the better games I've played. After that I picked up FFVIII and Crono Trigger and am planning on playing FFX when I have some free time.
To each their own though, just thought it a bit weird no one mentioned a single one (not even a category slot in sam's case XD).

Legend of Dragoon is an epically long and very enthralling RPG. It took me 60+ hours to beat and spanned 4 disks.

Oh yeah, Pokemon too. My Blue version is still my most used cartridge ever :p

Hey been playing Riddick Assault on Dark Athena. I'm still working my way through the remastered Butcher Bay included with it as I've never played it. Even if what I've seen is just a remake yet, the graphics and performance are very nice. The lighting and most of the textures/models/shaders are very sharp. Not to mention it's fun to be Riddick XD

I always liked pokemon as a kid but recently pulled out my Game Boy Color (should be COLOUR!) and played it. The gameplay was so SLOWWWWWWW I ended up losing interest and

    Fav. games:
    Jak II (PS2)
    Gran Turismo 2 (PS1)
Need For Speed: Most Wanted (PS2)
    Toca Race Driver (PS2)
    Race Driver: GRiD (PC)

--can you tell I had PS1>PS2>PS3 then got fed up with crap ass PS3 and shifted to PC gaming
--also I think there's a big old site devoted to what games you own and your top 10..

The PS3 may be a pretty terrible product, but I'll still probably buy one when Gran Turismo 5 comes out.

Only reason I own one. It'll have broken by time of launch mind. Network has already packed up, signs me out everytime I start a race...

Im a pretty patient guy. No doubt Gran Turismo 5 will either be ported(unlikely?), or be playable on PC via other means (LOL), in a relatively short time.

Though my brother wants a ps3 pretty bad!

OH!!! I almost forgot. I used to LOVE "Twisted metal!" Now there's a timeless game!

What makes you say that? Gran Turismo games have NEVER been ported to any other device except via emulation.

Emulating a PS3 on the PC is a rather long way off. The PS2 doesn't have fully functioning emulator yet and it's been out for years lol.
When ever a good PS3 exclusive comes out I usually just go to a friends place to play it. It helps that there aren't that many PS3 games to start with.

I have an unnatural amount of patience. LOL! Heck, Dialup hardly bothered me. Though dont get me wrong, I'd never go back LOL!

It will probably take about 15-20 years before we can emulate the PS3. No I'm not joking. Right now only BlueGene and whatever the current #1 cascade system is could do it.

Haha using dial-up is akin to watching paint dry imo.

LOL, almost guessed approximately 20 years in my post. Didn't put it in though since it was just a guess without any real basis.

Mine's only a very rough guess, but it's taken 7 years to get convincing emulation of the Gamecube, and that's a 450mhz CPU with very little memory. In single-core mode, the PS3 is 7x the clock speed, and much faster per clock. Then there are the other six cores to consider.

LOL agreed. Even my 800k connection is quite bearable compared to dial-up. It's so painful to use.

Where is it? What Emulator? Full res and AA support?

Dunno about AA and Full-res, but Dolphin under 64-bit is supposed to be pretty good these days. Waiting to try it myself.
