    Typical Asus. Let's show off what 4GB can do by using a crazy resolution only available on Special order $25,000 monitors. Oh look, no AA! Now I wonder what it is in Far Cry 2 that owns video memory? Is it resolution? A single HD4870 gets 26fps at 2560x1600. Doesn't look like it. Is it AA? Well, enable 8xAA and both Quad SLI and Quad CF get less than 10fps.

    But what about Uncharted 2 and The Last Guardian? :p If you haven't seen those two in action I suggest you look up the E3 footage on YouTube :)

    That aside, Gran Turismo 5 is looking amazing...

    If you haven't seen the E3 footage of that either then this should be your first port of call :D The graphics manage to look even better than in Prologue, and there were a couple of amazing little reveals in the footage:

    1) It'll have NASCAR (I don't care about that, nor does it seem any other non-american does, but I've seen some people getting excited about it...)

    2) It's got rally - looks like they've even nabbed the WRC license (I'm excited about this one)

    3) It's. Got. Damage. (I fail to see how ANYONE could not be happy about that)

    Also, details of the PSP version were given at the Sony conference which gives us a rough idea of what we're going to be looking at in the PS3 version: There'll be 35 individual tracks (or 36, I can't actually remember which) with around 60 variations to those overall and... wait for it... eight hundred bloody cars :eek:

    So, yeah, PS3 version should have even more than that :p

    What is the extent of the damage exactly? I'm still a GTPlanet member but sort of stopped paying attention when it was revealed GT5 would be 5 years behind the 2-years delayed GT4, it's too long to keep eyeing up every little fact.

    There pretty much hasn't been any info till now :p And we don't know - in the trailer it showed a rally car in one scene and when the camera panned round to the front of the car the bonnet was a bit crumpled etc. (looked like a low speed impact had caused it) As far as i know, no one knows anything more yet.

    See this is it, the last I heard was that damage would only be applied to rally cars...

    Haha that's been a long time coming :p

    Omg I can't play it now. Too much freedom of choice >.<

    Haha what causes that? I'm sure my rig could handle it higher than that. 1920 x 1200 was cake. Is it sucking video memory at that res? Also notice how multi-GPU is used better with higher settings. Are there high settings results?

    Nah be nice. It was alright :)

    OMG I thought I saw stock cars in there :O OMGOMGOMG now I'm excited :D

    As usual I'm a day behind. You guys with your racing games! (I'm too uncoordinated to play games like that! No actually, I did try Need for Speed about 5 years ago - not bad! I outran the cops a couple times. I imagine they're wayyyy better now.)
    Now we're getting somewhere.

    Please elaborate just a bit, Sam. A noise like a message. You mean a little tiny bell like on a cell phone text message - which I never know I have until months later? Remember, I'm the guy who can't yet hear the tank around the next bend. And when my headphones are on - it is VERY noisy in my little head - so what does a noise like a message sound like?

    But still, thank you very much, at least that's a start!!

    Well that's better than "Everybody is dropping out of school and becoming a gang-banger" Hahahaha

    Do they have gang bangers in Wisconsin? Estuansis, I'll catch you next week.

    Tell me more guys, about this message noise. Maybe I can turn it up or customize it to play a rock 'n roll song or something that makes it different from ALL THE NOISE that is already going on in the game, lol.

    Duhhh! Right! That's the same thing I did last time. You know, I just thought that everybody would have played by now but of course I'm wrong - I will fix that in one minute, thanks. Christ - I had to fix two posts. "Get ya Spoiler City right he-uh!"

    There it is, Sam's new monitor, lol.

    That, forum buddies, is British sarcasm so thick you could butter your toast with it!! Hahaha!

    Rich: The noise that Steam makes when you receive a message is damn deafening, it drowns out almost anything. It annoys me. If it came through, you'd have heard it.
    Unfortunately, a P56QHD4 costs about $40,000. Granted, the fact that the UK currency against the dollar soared this week shaved the price of that by about £4000 made it a lot cheaper, but still, a bit too much even for me :p

    LOL not really. We have some gangs in Milwaukee and Madison but not much else. Mostly wiggers and wannabes.

    Haha I bet if they were realistically priced you would have one by now. But so would I :p

    I get a kick out of the fact that they're advertised as monitors :D

    They have to be. A 56" TV doesn't even cost $4000 let alone $40,000.

    WOWIE ZOWIE LOL! I notice that the pixel pitch is substantially different than the typical 20-30" monitors. Why is that, and what does it mean? OK, I think I understand what it means, but why is it so significantly different on a larger monitor?

    By the way, this is where I obtained the info

    P56QHD4 Specifications as follows:
    * 56" LCD : 3840x2160 w/Quad DVI input
    * LCD Panel : 56.2" a-si TFT Active Matrix
    * Resolution : 3840x2160
    * Pixel Pitch : 0.324 mm
    * Brightness : 500 cd/m (Typical)
    * Contrast : 1200:1 (Typical)
    * Viewing Angle (H/V) : 176/176
    * Operating Temperature : 5-35C
    * Operating Humidity : 20%-80% (no condensation)
    * Power Voltage : AC100-240V 50/60Hz
    * Power Consumption : Max 500W (500VA)
    * Dimensions (WxHxD) : 1341x797x132 (mm)
    * Weight (without stand) : 50 kg
    * Function : Backlight Control
    * Inputs : Single DVI x 4ch
    * Input Signal : 3840x2160 (1920x1080x4ch)

    It's because the pixels are bigger. There's twice as many pixels but the monitor's over three times the size.
