At least windows photo viewer appears to be working correctly now. I couldn't preview 1200Dpi documents before. Now I can.

Actually, I think it had more to do with width, opposed to DPI

I'm actually experimenting with it in a dual boot. It's great but still a bit buggy. Compared to Windows Vista it's perfect, lol. VERY EXTREMELY excited for virtual Windows XP. Windows 7 seems like the answer to our prayers, lol. Looks to be the best OS to come out since all holy Windows XP! I WILL be BUYING it.

As previously stated, sorry for any apparently drunk posting :S

 

My version of the beta did this right before more and more problems started appearing e.g. new folders didn't didn't automatically go to rename, Scheduled tasks packed up etc.

And there WAS Send Feedback in control panel but I've jsut looked and its disappeared. Very strange!

HELP my 4850's died so only a very select few games work and on the others I get big old spikey things all over my screen. Assassins creed works but you can see lighting through walls and people.

I've tried uninstalling driver cleaning and then reinstalling but haven't achieved anything :-(

ummm prom>PC forget ur PC and games, prom is somethign you jsut shouldnt miss, esp when there will be hott girls!


try using one card only, to see which one is the problem, if both worth together, try reinstallgin the OS, new BIOS, reset CMOS, and a different PSU

 

Proms in 5 hours its fine! After party's going to be better then actual thing a lass who goes to my school got crippled by a hit and run and she's coming to it so she's going to be the constant centre of attention. Buying a crate of Carling

Anywho back to the point I've just took it out shook it about a bit and it works! Haven't installed Catalyst yet though...


FIXED IT!!!! it does it if I disable geometry instancing whatever that is/does.

Crysis + Crysis Warhead + Crysis Wars only 39.99! I'll be trying it out after I stop fooling with my Oc'ing LOL!

 

Very nice. Your PC should run it pretty well. It takes advantage of quad core even in XP. And the GTX260 kills at it already.

 

Looks like i'll be running updates and hotfixes first. Fairly large downloads too. Ah well. No biggie. I'll be having fun in no time LOL!

 

I think the latest patch is 1.3. Not too sure on the install order though read the patch notes. Here is a guide to the settings and tweaks for cheap very high settings and whatnot. You'll need it:

I believe I understand the order they explained. And I think you mean 1.2!

 

On the topic of Crysis - weirdest thing ever (someone else mentioned it about another game I think, but I forget who) - turning on anti-aliasing in Crysis Warhead literally has no effect on framerate; 0xAA and 8xAA give the same framerates and you can see the AA is on - these things baffle me.

 

Shokz: You're CPU limited then. AA does have a big impact on frame rates once you reach the GPU limit.

 

Crysis doesn't wanna give me any resolution settings above 1600 x 1200. Whats odd is I run a wide screen. Why would it even give that option! I must admit though, it looks pretty decent at 1024 x 768!
