Ehhh, I don't know it could use a little more tidying. haha just kidding.

I wanted to paint the inside of my CM690 black: that looks so awesome. Here let me show you an example.

some one went OVER BOARD with the anti kink coils, maybe they dont know that its actually a useful coil, NOT a decoration. and the colours horribly clash, aslo the self painted really shows not to be professional, theres no varnish/gloss, its really matt, and looks brush painted.

    lol You're just Jealous.

The colors don't clash, and it's Matt black for a reason. It looks nicer that way.

Oh and next time you take a pic. Don't use flash. I'm on a battle against flash. Remember, soft light > Flash.

AD is not a place for politics, for obvious reasons. The rules state that.

Yeah, sorry again! Well, in retrospect it was mostly just a history lesson and a film review - politics of 200 years ago. But mums the word from now on, cross my heart. (I don't take back anything I said about boozer though - he shot up that firing range so bad those Florida rednecks thought it was the Redcoats coming through the swamps all over again!) Damn, there I go again, and wait ... sorry ..... that was New Orleans ... :D

By the way, boozer, that is an awesome looking case. I think I see a kama bay style 120mm intake fan taking up three of the 5.25 drive slots, with a radiator up on top of the case? I like the way the disk drives load sideways. Also notice the 850watt PSU - yeah!! Is that a tower - no, more a mid-size right?

Yup it's a mid tower, and it's a great case.

That one is not mine though :(

Is it the case Sam recommends - the NZXT?

Why does Spamual's sig look so familiar?

No.That case is the Cooler Master RC690. I prefer it over the NZXT Tempest Sam recommends, but each to his own.

A coolermaster though. I'd take the Zalman 850 over the CM any day.
The blue/green does look a bit ridiculous on the kink coils (i'm pretty sure you don't need that many) but I like the matt black finish. I'm not sure I'd want a reflective inside to a case, could be messy.

The RC-590 is a decent enough case, but I much prefer both the styling and design of a lot of NZXT cases - not to mention the included decent quality fans...

RC-690. And it's form over function. Plus it looks more professional ;)

So boozer, what are you gaming on these days - you sell all your best stuff off. Do you have a water-cooled rig?

Ray is out in front on water-cooling. Do you think I should go water-cooled on the new build in a year - the air-cooled cpu coolers are so effective now - HIS, Tuniq - I hear they run neck and neck in terms of OC'ing.

But Sam, being the master of quiet, isn't it easier to quiet everything if you are water-cooled? You don't have to be so concerned with case ventilation - mostly just good flow through your radiator - or am I missing something? Shaff what's your take on the great water-cooling debate?

Nope, he has an xbox 360, that's it. :)
He just sold his gaming PC, as he does often.

Watercooling systems are scarcely very loud, but it's easier to get quiet air cooling than install watercooling, and it's almost impossible to silence watercooling like you can air cooling, primarily because it's easier to get silent fans than silent pumps.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the pumps. That's a low frequency hum, isn't it? Probably a fairly penetrating "rumble."

So with heat-pipe technology - has it been proven to everybody's satisfaction (except for Ray of course) that air cooling is just as effective as water-cooling?

    a) generally yes
    b) not if it's done right. You will never see temps as low on any air cooler as any good watercooler, but you will usually see them low enough - that's the difference. As long as you don't get a cheap-arse kit, a high end CPU could be cooled to 45C on air, 32-33C on water, load. 33 is great, but 45 is no great concern either, if you see what I mean.

Ahahahha, Water cooled rig. What a silly idea. No I don't have a water cooled rig. Oh and I only have an Xbox 360 and PS3. Hit me up on PSN or XBL some time.

an Xbox AND a ps3. No wonder you can't afford to keep hold of a gaming PC!

I swear this PS3 is almost useless though! Oh and I also don't keep my computer because my dad thinks it's a waste of money or something.
