HA! LOL, i love this converstion, it's so funny! Lian-Li's cases are always over priced i don't know why, they look ok, but i think it's because they use better materials for it???

@Rich of course i'll buy HAF, it's looks...um...hmph...good, and the 230mm fan is quiet and lots of airflow too. And the most important point is that HAF is much MUCH! cheaper!

The HAF is hardly any cheaper in the UK at least... £126 versus £134 for the A70B, which at current exchange rate works out at roughly $220 and $235.

The one comment I will have about the A70B picture is that it only looks good because the side's off.... with a plain bland side panel it looks pretty drab. I am informed that will change, however... ;-)

    hehe, you know it ;)

black window which only can been seen through with lights from the inside, then it becomes a clear panel, much like the 2 way mirror, but its black so suits the case :)

lianli are handmade, and fully aluminium, and fully take aparatable, no rivets :)

the ATCS 840 is about £150, and the PC-A70B thats i bought was £130. ebuyer have the AHF at £110, but scan, chilledPC, have it for 125, and OcUk for £130

You know, they're both strong cases. For my new build, if I went full tower, I might really be drawn to those 230mm fans, just like GTR.

But let's say, for the sake of argument, that somebody didn't want to go full tower - being so much bigger and wider. Let's say you only had room for a mid-tower. That might be my case, since I am a little cramped in my trailer-turned-into-an-office which is also where my gaming rig sits.

For a mid-tower, with excellent cooling, it seems that would bring us back to Sam's recommendation, the NZXT Tempest. The Tempest has two 140mm exhaust fans at the top of the case - probably roughly equivalent to the one 230mm HAF fan in air movement out of the top of the case. GTR's case review showed the HAF cooling wayyy ahead of the other towers, which however DID NOT have top exhaust fans. Given my suspicion that two 140s would roughly equate to one 230, (Sam, can a 140 move 37.5 CFM - half the 230mm CFM of 75?) I would think the NZXT might deliver similar cooling excellence as the HAF.

Full towers are rarely wider, just taller and deeper.
Overall, a pair of 140mm fans will move more air for the same noise level than one 230mm. At 700rpm a 230mm fan should realistically be moving around 100-120CFM not the 75 they quote. A 140mm on the other hand will move at least 50CFM at 1000rpm, so two of those will push a similar 100-110CFM. A 700rpm 230mm fan will be about 30dB, a 1000rpm 140mm will only be about 23dB, so two of them will work out about 24dB. Thus, a pair of 140s is better than one 230... :)
I still believe the NZXT Tempest is one of the best cooled cases you can buy, full tower or otherwise.

Agreed on the Tempest. It's a classic and one of the best for aggressive cooling.

yeah me too, i would've chosen Tempest instead of HAF, but i can't get in South Africa yet. If i do it would be rediculously priced. So HAF is the best choice

Oh shoot! My parent are complaining about the noise my computer makes, so i'm not sure if HAF 932 will be quieter than mine or as quiet as "they" say. 19dBA etc

you really think the HAF is worse than the tempest in air cooling?

for the price, you cannot get better than the tempest, but the antec 1200 and HAF have it beat down IMO. (my opinion)

i just bought another case...loool i couldnt resist. this for £20:

    Coolermaster ATC-201

What's with the random switch on the side? :p

I don't think the Tempest is better than the HAF for cooling, but it's hardly any worse. As far as noise goes, neither case silent, neither is loud.

Interesting idea. I think I would have preferred it going in the spare 3.5" bay though...

boozer if you are going 2 4870s you will need a minimum of a TX750W just due to it having 4 PCIE connectors, vs the TX650Ws 2, btu if you want to use to use 4 molex to 2 pcie apators then thats fine 2.

i personally wouldnt run them, but if you are happy 2 then kock your self out, not thats i have anythign again molex->PCIE convertors, but it will be 2 molex> 1 pcie, and that will kill cable management, and it means i will have to braid and heatshrink MORE cables lol.
