Man have I missed much. This is what you get when email notifications don't work...

In other news, I power-tested my PC at last.
    AC full system draw
    Idle: 205W
    CPU load: 280W
    CPU & GPU load (1GPU): 350W
    CPU & GPU load (2GPU): 430W

measure 87-8% PSU efficiency at UK voltage, estimated DC full load: 375W (72%).

Rob: putting it into perspective on an arbitrary number scale
    7600GT: 30%
    8600GTS: 55%
    8800GT: 100%
    9800GTX+: 125%
    HD4850: 130%
    HD4870: 155%
    GTX260: 165%
    GTX260+: 180%
    GTX280: 190%
    HD4870X2: 160-310%
I play COD4 at 2560x1600 all high with 4xAA for most maps, AA disabled for Wet Work and Downpour as its implementation is rather poor - performance is literally quartered due to the rain effecrs when AA is enabled. Typical frame rate is 80-130.

Ray: You can change the resolution of some games by editing their configuration .ini or .cfg files. Google 'widescreen gaming' for sites that tell you how this is done.
As for using a gamepad, I do, but solely for racing games like GRiD. For everything else I use a keyboard and mouse as it's a lot more accurate.

what does it mean 8600GTS 55%? It draws that much power only? And hell your system draws quite a lot!

No I'm using a basic scale to compare how fast they are in games. The 8800GT is the baseline, the 8600GTS is roughly 55% as fast as the 8800GT (so just over half), the HD4870 is 155% of the speed, so 55% faster. Has nothing to do with power draw.

So guys is there any case as good as the CM690 but cheaper? i'm looking at Centurion 590 but is that case good and is there any other case besides CoolerMaster? remember cheap

Weren't you looking at a HAF? The 690 is half the price of the HAF, why the sudden budget cut?

I recommend cases like the Antec 300 and NZXT Alpha.

Also, can you remove the userbar from your signature? It's against forum rules, but I'm asking because it crashes firefox :)

so then 1 of these 4 here would suit me well and not have any worries about a game doing/looking/preforming well?

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...2E16814161244,N82E16814129112,N82E16814103060

id like to stay around the $150 mark if i do get me one.(i can go over $30 or so if need be)cause $150 is what i will have set aside for my HAF932.. so its one or the other for now..
plus with these better cards wont i be able to hook my TV up to the pc and watch avi's and such on the tv????? or can i do that now with my 7600gt?

The 4850 is AMPLE for your screen resolution, and even the one above it. Of those four I would recommend the one at the end because it has by far the best cooler.

oh i didn't know user bar is not allowed. My bad.

Oh i guess you didn't see my post earlier, I've orderd HAF then they told me that it is out of stock therefore when they have stock the price will increase a lot! So i ask for a refund since i paid before i receive the notice. That was crap

Antec 300 seems nice and what about CM590?

User bars are allowed, but have to be less than 50KB in size. Yours is triple that.

Yes, I read your earlier post, but no discount will make the HAF half price, which is how much less the RC-690 costs, and as far as I can see you haven't actually spent any money yet right?

lol, actually i did, i've spend R1716.93, now i'm getting that amount back. The shop should state that it is out of stock!

I seriously want a new case, i don't know why. both 300 and 690 looks nice i don't know which one to choose from, i want both but i don't need both, oh pain in the head. I've been going on and on about cases, i do apologize if i get on your nerves ^^

Welcome to online retail. OverclockersUK are terrible for that, except they don't even tell you, you just have to contact them and ask why your order hasn't been dispatched. They even generate spoof dispatched emails when the item hasn't been sent.

I know what you mean, but some 3rd person games are a pain to play using a mouse to play.
Assassin's Creed, DMC 4, and mercenaries 2 to name a few
