They're not ideal but I still think they're easier with a keyboard/mouse, each to their own I suppose.

True true, but I guess some trace remains of the time when I only played on PS2.

DMC 4 is alright using a keyboard, but you can't move the camera

Surely that's what the mouse is for?

LOL, but I only have 2 hands

One one WASD, and one on IJKL, so you see my dilemma :p

PS - I wouldn't mind seeing pics of it as well

    They're up, didn't you notice? :p
GTR: No, I have good vision, why is a 30" bad for you? LCDs don't emit radiation like CRTs...

The Lexa Blackline is my fileserver. In that photo it is off. Usually it is lit up bright red :)

What do you use a file server for??
Do you really have that much data??

My desk at uni is narrow so the PCs have to sit on the floor...

The strange lighting effect is because my 2-port external HDD box is currently sitting on top. :)

the antec 300 and CM590 are on par together. all 3 of them have awsome amount of air flow.. i haven the RC690(and wanting the HAF932) if i had to do it over i would get the RC590 over the 690... the 690 is a couple inches tall but no big deal....as Sam sai the HAF is about twice as much as the 690 right now. but the HAF is a sweet azz case...thats my delima get that HAF or a HD4850 gpu????

in short you cant go wrong with any of the 3 cases you picked. plenty airflow. plenty room to get around in them. i have worked on both the 690/590(bigwill has the 590) and are easy to work with.. and looking at the 300 over and over it looks about the same setup give or take a extra here and there. and depending on how many drive bays you want need...

Estuansis - yeah really sounds like you're rockin and rollin on Far Cry now - how'd you get so much better - just more gaming since you last played it? (And with all the knifing sounds like you've become a stealth monster like that forum leader I was talking about. LOL)

Sam - the side fan on the tempest - I think it is exhaust only because the reviewer complained that it didn't have a filter, unlike the two front fans that DO have filters - so I think the reviewer got it wrong and it actually is an exhaust fan. That's my setup too, but I have no top fans - only one intake in the front, and a separate also-filtered small intake on the side for the cpu only, using sunbeam kit to carry the air through a short hose to the cpu cooler, then side exhaust, back exhaust, psu exhaust, gpu exhaust, and blitztorm turbine exhaust. Two inlet fans, 5 exhaust fans.

So you don't really see any problem with the "vacuum" effect?

Man, Sam, that is some serious data on the performance charts. On Oblivion, I see the gtx 260 and 280, 3850 CF, and a single 4870, all performing about the same within 5 or 10% of each other, at the 2560x1600 4x16 - by the way, what does that 16 mean, anisotropic filtering at 16? But a 4850CF picks up about 25% more performance, and is only maybe 6% less powerful than a 4870CF. I know the 4850 doesn't have the faster memory, but in crossfire it's very powerful from your chart.

However, in a later post I see you pointing out the advantages of the 1gb memory - and crossfire is limited to the lowest memory on one of the two boards. GTR says 512 is ok, however, for 1920x1200. So it's only the bigger set of pixels if one were to jump to 30" and full 2560x1600. Hmmmmm.

Well, looking only for 1GB, I see a 1gb GDDR3 4850 at $215 with dual slot rear exhaust - newegg ($15 less for single slot, exhaust inside the case) - and a 1gb GDDR5 4870 (dual slot rear exhaust) after rebate at $220 - might as well get the 4870.

But eventually cross-firing two boards like that means 4 slots!

What I'm saying, if I were to think in terms of dual slot rear-exhaust cards, and eventually crossfire, that's four pci-e slots I have used up. What limitations does that make on crossfire motherboards? Does that type of thinking put me into a wayyyy more expensive motherboard?

Okay, now we have three guys from Pakistan, Shaff, Boozer, and Ray. So when are you guys going to post the pics of your cousins so we can pick out who you should marry? Lol

Wow, GTR, too bad about the HAF ending up almost double the price. So you have a set of three new cases to pick from. Nobody is considering the NZXT tempest - why not? (nobody likes the looks???)

    @harvrdguy.
i havent used the tempest but have seen and looked at it some before hand.. i dont think it will have the air flow the other 3 have/has. just from what ive seen there may be some restrictions on air.

Hey Cincy - wow I thought the Tempest was supposed to be the mid-tower airflow king with two 140mm in front, and two 140mm exhausts fans on top, plus side, and rear exhaust, and of course psu exhaust - 7 fans. Those two on top, especially, going a long way toward cooling the case. (The HAF that GTR had his deposit $ on, beat all the other towers that didn't have top exhausts, by 10 degrees cooler centigrade on cpu temp.)

Sam liked the 230mm on the HAF, but felt that the two 140mm on the Tempest, running a little faster at 1000rpm, than the HAF at 750rpm, could move as much air (75cfm or more) out of the top of the Tempest as the HAF single fan, at about the same noise level - 19 db as I recall.

Do these three other cases that GTR is now considering have top-mounted exhaust fans, and if so, what size and how many? (Are all these 3 full tower cases by the way?)

the tempest has the fanes that i have in my RC690 right now.but in my case the top is all open. mesh top as is the bottom of the case. so along wth the fans it has the natural air comeing in from those holes/mesh opening what ever ya wanna call it... the tempest top and bottom are solid except were the fans are. Thats the only reason i would say that other than the fans movieng air there wouldnt be any other air coming or going...

the HAF has 3 230mm fans and 1 140 fan in the rear. 1 230 in front and 1 on top and side panel. Sam is the fan guru. and im sure with 2 140mm fans on top it would move as much air as the 230 at higher rpms.

the RC690 comes with 3 120mm fans 1 in fron 1 side and 1 rear. as does the RC590.
in my RC690 i have 2 140mm aerocool streamliners set as exhaust then a antec tricool 3 speed fan in front as intake. then 2 120mm fans onthe side panel as intake and a 120mm in the rear as exhuast...then a 120mm on the bottom of the case infronot of the PSU/behind the HDD tray.
so with them 7 plus the CPU/GPU and CPU fans i have a total of 10 fans going in this bad boy..lol

now i do know(me and bigwill) went and look at theRC690 he is thinking of getting one.. they have made some mods to it compared to my case.the front fan sets in closer to the HDD carriage allmost on it..as with the top of the case the fans are closer to the mobo tray hence putting the fans closer to the cpu hsf...

dont get me wrong im not saying the tempest is a bad case its not. i was looking at it before i got the RC690... and for the reasons i said.. there are no extra holes in the top and bottom like the 690/590.

sorry guy i didnt mean to ruin you GPU thread with all this chatter about cases...
