Wow, half price. Not bad, not bad, $1150, versus putting $600-800 in a 24". Maybe I'll treat myself for Christmas!! LOL (I'll still be limping along for a while with a 3850 lol)

New build will add another $1200 sounds like - well, maybe more like $1500 with an x2 - sometime in the Spring.

You got me with that "gorging on pixels" line :D

Nah, never got around to playing Half Life. No time :(

Today was a busy day too. Had to take the SATs in the morning, had to go to a conference in the evening, while writing a college application essay in between.

Wow, a really busy day. What colleges are you going for?

By the way, I'm getting ready for the new build - just downloaded sp1 for vista, and in 4 hours the torrent will deliver the main program. I'll set a 25 gig partition like our Mo said (shaff) on the new 640 gig seagate that's coming with the corsair. I don't really want vista but if that's the only way warhead will give up ultra high and allow x2 or crossfire support, then it looks like it's a must have type of thing. And some guys were talking about loving DX10 - is there a growing concensus that it's a good thing, or is everybody still grumbling?

Ultra high will work on XP. Crossfire on the other hand, won't. This also applies for GRiD.

    @ rich

I wasn't really into the scary games either, playing DOOM3 tensed me up to the point that I got a headache, I've yet to go back ;)

But with dead space, I WILL FINISH IT.

I'm just going to play it (prove I'm not a wuss :p)

I'm getting it from a friend tomorrow at school, can't wait

I'm applying to University of Central Florida.

Also Dead Space is not that scary once you get past the first parts.

    lol True

I had my buddy come over and then we played it some more. I guess it gets exponentially less scary the more people you have around you.

That, plus 30 inches of dead space is more scary than 19 inches of it :) I dread to think what it looks like on a 65", especially with the volume turned up.

I realy can't imagine playing that game on a 30" monitor!!!

Too bad I'll be playing it alone :O
At night without lights, no less :D

Guess it won't be too bad on a 15.4"

Good to see you (metaphorically :p)
Why didn't you last, did your bladder pop??

    CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY IT

    Lucky ;)

I have installed FEAR but I have yet to play it.

Just can't seem to find time in my busy life :p, especially that A-Levels are going at a crazy pace, I'll leave old games for the summer and focus on Dead Space and other new games instead ;)
