use dvd decrypter. it will rip the dvd disc into an iso file. then burn with your preferred software.

DVD Decrypter wont cut it for a game.

Use alcohol 120%. Get it off bittorentso it comes with a keygen, otherwise it will only work for 30 days.

That's good. Of course it probably wont work on this accursed Mac. Damn, I would like to think my computer is pretty fast but even with the proper drivers it runs slower than Vista! It also uses more Memory.

Why do people not point out how bad this is but curse Vista so much? Overall usability Vista wins HAND DOWN.

    Abuzar1,
The good news is that I was able to make a MDF file with Alcohol120%, but I'll need a Dual Layer DVD to burn it! That should be fun! LOL!!

I have Imageburn, but I think that's only for DVD Video! Oh well, back to the drawing board! LOL!!

    Best Regards,
    Russ

    Is it that big?

What I would do is just get the MDF file and use winrar to get it into two .rar files and burn them on two dvds.

    abuzar1,
Won't work! You have to have the original disk in the drive to play it!

what about mounting the image on a virtual drive with alcohol 120%? unless you plan to use the discs elsewhere, it should work.

i think i may have to get alcohol 120% again, just for the virtual drive mounting.

    cee43ja1,
Tried that, but that only works with ISO, not MDF! I appreciate the response though.

Ah, my bad, it didn't even occur to me that you didn't know about Alcohol 120%! :)
You should be able to mount an mdf with DAEMONTools if you make a .mds file to go along with it...

    sammorris & abuzar1,
First off, I haven't got a clue! Second none of the stuff I looked at has anything to do with backing up a DVD, only CDs. This is on an over 5GB DVD. I'll have to look into whether you can burn a dual layer data DVD. The sand in the hourglass is just getting too low for me to take the time to learn all of this. I'll save that for you younger guys! LOL!!

Thanks for all of your help,
    Russ

theonejrs, Agreed, Alcohol120% rial or purchaced and you will be able to rip with to MDF or ISO and play directly from it's own Virtual drive or any conpatable virtual Imaging drive (ie. Deamon Tools or Magisic ISO and others, even Nero Image Drive) Yo need to know the type of copy protection of your own origional DVD/CD game to encrypt it and rewrite to new DVD+RW +R DL may work for most but some do require the RW disc.

Nevertheless, loading form HDD is always gonna' be faster then any DVD drive you can play it from. This is tyhe bes method for fast load and play times. Especially if loading from a RAID 0 set.

    Good Luck!

    NuckNFuts,
I appreciate the input, but it's just more than I can take on right now. I had a small heart attack Dec 2 and a mild stroke three weeks ago. I have a hard enough time concentrating on the things I do know, as it is. It's just more than I want to take on right at the moment.

    Best Regards,
    Russ

You try Everest it gives pretty good readings of all temps in computer.
NVmonitor should also give you accurate temps for your card.

Those settings I gave in earlier post will give you 3Ghz, you should manage that on max 1.35 v or lower, some people report getting that speed on stock, I've never managed that myself.

    sammorris,
Have you tried Everest Corporate 4.20. I have build 1170 and it seems to read everything. You also may have to remove it and re-install it to pick up the sensor properly.

    Best Regards,
    Russ
