The fact that you get a solid 60 at both resolutions means you have Vsync on, which is fine. It means that your cards would probably run Mass effect smoothly even at higher resolutions than you're using.

    well
    i have another question
is there an chance of overclocking the integrated Intel Graphics in the IBM?
cause the core speed of the "Intel Extreme Graphics 2" is 266mhz where as the core speed of the Radeon 7000 is 150mhz.....
so the integrated graphics is better than the radeon....
what i want to do is overclock the integrated graphics to maybe 350mhz...somewhere around there if it is even possible...
    thanks,

No, there's far more to it than clock speed - trust me, Intel integrated graphics chips are not fast, at all, and to my knowledge, you can't overclock them - even them merely being there limits overclocking the CPU as well.

other factors for me not sticking to the radeon 7000
    Radeon 7000:
    Direct x 6

    Intel:
    Direct x 7

all other items in GPU-Z showed same value for both...

i guess i won't even mess with it then (the overclocking part)....
    oh well

Actually, I'm pretty certain the Radeon 7000 is a DirectX 7 card, that after all is why it's the 7000 series.

    sammorris,
All the R100 (7xxx series) are DirectX 7. The on-board ones lack T&L hardware and HyperZ is disabled, but may be enabled from the Registry, which may induce artifacts!

    theonejrs,
    i c
i don't know why the card shows up as a direct x 6 card in my computer but....i will try it in another computer and see if it still has the same issues.
cause what i am thinking is that the IBM and the Radeon do not get along very well (very very long boot times - mainly just loading up the bios!).

    im1992,
It's harder when you have a 7X multiplier. At your fsb, my E6750 is running at over 3.5GHz, thanks to the 8X multiplier. An E4300 because of it's 9X multiplier will run rings around the E6300!

    Best Regards,
    Russ

it was stable at 3088mhz but was at 1.15v
i was just trying out what the lowest stable voltage was.....
it weird.....i mean...as time goes on, the e6300 requires less voltage to achieve the same clock speed(i started with 1.4v in October of 2007)...but...does not yield higher clocks!!!lol, in 1 year, i should be down to .75v!...if this continues

    im1992,
The answer is better more stable motherboards with better voltage controls and improvements in the bios to better manage the memory and fsb!

yea but that isn't true in my case
i have had the same motherboard since April of 2007!
well maybe it was the bios.....which i intentionally downgraded since this version of the bios allowed for the highest FSB...

    im1992,
That's a very likely possibility since nothing else has changed! My GA-965P-DS3 was like that! It ran super cool (27-28C) with the F8 bios, every other bios I tried ran hotter and the fans spun faster!
