Alright, well he will be back soon anyway. Back on topic, have you OCed your Q6600? More importantly, do you play FEAR?
NO never played FEAR. I guess I could put the Q6600 in my "other" rig and see how it performs. lol. I still don't have a mobo for it yet and I just bought a "cheapy" cpu from Sammy. lol. I wanted to go Dual Core on both my AMD rigs and he obliged by selling me his X2 4200... I won't have a lot of time until September or so to really mess with the computers. It's been a hot summer and the conditions are less than favorable when trying to get things done. ;P ....gm
btw where is Zo?? He should be posting in here about some sort of OC... ZoSo give us a report on the Q9450 when you can!!! ....gm
Yeah, FEAR Combat's a good laugh for a free game. Pretty scalable too, so you don't need a monster GPU to run it. Gm: Will sort out the CPU and its packaging tomorrow, once PayPal work on my bank transfer.
Well boozer, I'll have to d/l that little game and give it a try. lol. On the cpu, thanks sammy. ....gm
abuzar, would you edit your 11. August 2008 @ 14:51 post please. gm, would you edit 11. August 2008 @ 14:57 post please.
Hi, i just overclocked a Celeron M 360J (Dothan w/ 1 meg cache) from stock 1.4GHz to 2.5GHz!!! http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=402526 its perfectly stable too, and all this on default voltage! Btw, it was on a Dell B120 Laptop if anyone is wondering... -im1992
well firstly I did the pin mod (400 mhz --> 533 mhz), the usual Dothan mod... and then I used clockgen it took about 15 mins to do both, since there is a cover to access the CPU and clockgen was a breeze: download, unzip, run, set, close! and I was done! if you have a Dothan CPU (i.e. Pentium M 90nm or Celeron M 90nm), i can give you a pic of the pin mod or just google it -im1992
All man we OverClocking Laptops now..you go Boy... @Russ Should'en he Keep and Temp check on that cpu..? glad to see you do that Im1992 best of luck..
How is battery life effected? Hey Imran. Took my 'Q6600' to 3.6Ghz stable on 1.47 volts. Probably can use less volts. Will try later.
abuzar1, Hell, with that kind of healthy boost in performance, who cares! Just plug it in whenever you can! LOL!! Russ
That's what I'm talking about. It doesn't have to run on BATTERY all the time does it?? lol. @boozer.... nice OC on the Q6600. @bigwill, Heck you can OC anything. lol. Lemme near your lawn and I'll have that baby OC'ed til you don't want to mow it any more..... hehehe. ....gm
