I'm here. just lurking in the background. getting some cheap intertainmemt watching you NOVICES OC your Q6600's hehe lol. I'm gonna flash my bios with the latest official bios (just came out rescently) and might bump my OC up to 3.5ghz later today. I probably won't go any higher than that since this pc has to last a while. I bought a new (used) ride and don't have the extra cash at the moment for new pc hardware in the event something fails.
what he said. lol. Yeh I knew you was joking around. Think about a manual setting and a BIOS update if needed, I think it's the only way to have/get that OC and be stable. Come on Sammy.... get 'er done!!!@!@!@! ...gm
Hey watch the NOVICE talk there buddy!!! heheehe. Congrats on the new ride.. Hope it's doing well.... Oh and I hear ya when it comes to NOT messing up equipment. ....gm
I don't normally condone that sort of activity, especially when it's Sammy.. hehehe. BUT in this instance go on BOOZER let 'er fly!!!! heheehe. .....gm completely unrelated again... spamual... do a new sig... it's a NEW you and we need to look at something other than that ugly mug you got posted..... ROFL....
sam, if it won't even pass a burn in test, it is no where near stable. I mean c'mon what good is an OC if all you can do is search the web and chat online? no offense but lets be realistic. I agree with gm and spamual. time for a bios update and you're going to have to take it off auto pilot if you ever want to get any descent stable OC.
I agree. To it's credit it has passed playing games, running 3dmark, and all that without a hitch. The stumbling block for extended use right now though is the heat, I'm not going to play with OC'ing much until I figure out a way of reattaching a fan to my Ultra-120 without the clips.
you can use some good wire ties.. if that dont work hundred mile an hour tape works great for everything...lol
Mort, HA! I've got you beat with the Quad core overclocking. And I only shoot what I can eat. Sorry guys.
I've had my Q9450 to over 3.6ghz but didn't leave it there. I need a good reliable pc and one that I can depend on daily. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that but I needed a newer car worse than I need a screaming pc for bragging rights. I have to fend for myself. no parents to tuck me under their wing.
Mort, you know I'm just kidding around with you! And I was responding to Shaf. I think he told me to shoot Sam.
Oh no!!!! I don't eat SHITE!!! heehehe... ;P boozer, what RAM is that and that cooler is massive!!! Incredible cabling I may add!! I needs to rethink my cabling efforts and see what can be done. lol. How do you have it "hidden" on the other side?? pics of that would be nice. tia... ...gm
That's G.Skill PC2-6400 cas4 ram. 8GB of it. lol and yeah that tuniw tower is a big cooler. Oh so the backside is a mess. Let me take a pic.
Is that G-Skill RAM? The cooler's a Tuniq Tower, I know that much... edit: Oh, lol. So I was right... haha
