Experienced builder i am not. i think i have learned alot in the past year about building. and if you notcied i only ask quesitons about 2 parts. that i know next to nothing about. mobo's and GPU's. hence the main question that started all this AGAIN. which is beter and why. the P5Q Deluxe or the P5N Deluxe? like i said theni was leaning towards the GA-EP45-UD3P mobo when someone pointed out the P5N Deluxe as being a good choice. i know from talking with you(Soph) the P5Q Deluxe and Pro and good board and you recomend them as ahve a few others i have talked with. but on the other hand a few taht have had the P5q Deluxe and the UD3P board they recomend the Ud3P. and nothing against you WIll, but i just dont like the looks, layout of the TPower I45 board, not enought sata plugs for me. minor as that may be thats just not what i want. once again im sorry i got this started again.. it wont happen again... plus i have been looking at he MSI plat. mobo

AMD vs Intel wouldnt be a war.. thats just a minor scuffle that wouldnt take INTEL 20 sec's to win.

nvidia vs ati. that is just a toss up. want's and need's. it al depends on what your wantnig to do with the card. from what i have read from you GPU guys there is no one better than the other. just depends on what you plan on useing it for.

now heres the true debate.1 odd or 5 odd??????

Im currently staring at 8 Optical drives. However, only 7 are ran. Each one has its own quirks is all. My sammys are excellent readers, as is one of my Litey's. Where the Optiarcs are EXCELLENT burners.

Not to my knowledge, installing an OS is about the only thing I use a DVD drive for.

7 is a good number but that means some are external drives. if i had the room(like creaky does) i wouldnt mind some extrernal drive. but that means i would have to have more than 6 sata plugins on my mobo wouldnt it???lol

5 is a good number. 3 of these for burning.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118030
    1 of these for scanning.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106332
and one of these to read.

now those will look nice in a HAF932.

    EDIT:
about SSD's. from what ive heard/read about them isnt after so many read/write's the drive is junk? time for a new one? and if your gaming or encodeing that would happen in a few month??? why spend that kinda money and not get a few years use out of it? JM2C.

Actually, I have enough space for 10 ODD's in the case. Both cases combined of course LOL! 6 in the HAF and 4 in my MSI barebone.

    multiple burns, 3-5 at once.
now if 1 drive had it all in one then there would only be a need for 1 or 2 drives. but one is a great reader,1 is a great writer(burner),1 is the best at scanning. so yo uneed more than 1. now if someone made a drive that did all of these things as well as the others then only 1 would be needed.
but ya have to atleast have 2 so the other wont feel left alone. plus its easier to copy disc to disc. takes longer to rip to hdd then copy. just put main disc on drive 1 the copy to drive 2.
plus a case with 6 odd bays looks weird without something in there..

i know some prefer to rip to hdd the copy but once again its their choice/opinion.....
