    Dammit man don't hold back tell us what you really think!! :p

    I'm having debates here lads!! I'm thinking of "rebuilding" a couple of machines but NOT sure on the OS I wanna go with. Win7 or something Linux me thinks.. just an internet beater for one of them for sure.. but the other will prolly get WinXP or Win7.... :S

    Ideas or influences??

    Mac OS, the fanboy's OS of choice. Ugh.

    Win7 or linux, hands down.
    I'm rebuilding my old Athlon 2800 tomorrow, it's going to be Solaris for now.
    I'm debating whether to put 9 on as it's dead easy to use and i know how it all works but might go for 10 instead as there's new stuff in there that i haven't seen yet. Only thing i'm concerned about is that due to being out of work i'm not sure that i'll get as much out of it as if i was in a job and using it in anger so to speak.
    Think i'd best go for 10, at the very least i can see what the ZFS filesystem is all about. Decisions decisions. Tearing my hair out due to the crap jobmarket, trying to keep the brain cells occupied, it annoys me to think a few greedy people caused the economy to fail with no concept of how many people it's affected.

    Really?? My buddy swears by Mac stuff but I'm not sure about installing from fresh and I know NOTHING about it. :)

    Oh... stay out and bask in the SUN for a while. :D

    I know a lot of people who love OSX yet I just can't figure it out.

    gm, I say go with linux, it hasn't failed me yet.

    Ohhhh I'm peeved now! I had the whole:

    I hate Macs. I have always hated Macs. I hate people who use Macs. I even hate people who don't use Macs but sometimes wish they did. Macs are glorified Fisher-Price activity centres for adults; computers for scaredy cats too nervous to learn how proper computers work; computers for people who earnestly believe in feng shui.

    In my sig for agggggeeeesss and obviously you didn't notice! did you! eh too busy with your glass house were we!

    Just kiddin! ROFL

    i dont see the hate towards macs.

    if you use OSX for a while (bar gaming) i think its very good. ofc there are the compatibility problems aswell. if both windows and mac had the same support and you could buy mac OSs and install them on non mac hardware sot he price would be the same, i'd choose the mac.
