That file's private, nobody's allowed to download it but you...

Did you leave the GPU in the slot, but not powered? A lot of graphics card have a sounder on them that goes off if the power connector isn't attached. It's an ear-piercing noise.

Well, more specifically than that, a guide for any brand SSD posted on the OCZ forum.
I know, I can't say any because not every SSD has TRIM capabilities so the topics on enable/disable TRIM may not apply.
Every other hint on the post titled "SSD Windows 7 tweaks" though is valid due to the fact that processes are disabled that help a mechanical drive and are of no real use to a SSD, especially defrag and indexing. Hell, most of the hints are how to free up GB's of storage and probably only useful to someone with a small 30GB drive like me while someone with a 250GB might not be bothered.
Sam it seems as if your bad experiences with the last generation of SSD's failures cloud your perspective anytime the subject comes up.
Anytime I've ever posted anything your response to it has been negative anyway...

Not at all, I want to try another SSD in my system, but it keeps routinely getting pushed back in the queue for more noticeable upgrades.
However, from what I've observed, Intel's SSDs are far less susceptible to performance drop-off than their OCZ equivalents.

Outdated BIOS causes this. It does not cause any performance issues.

It shouldn't, but avoid beta BIOSes, and if your voltage is set to auto, check the volts in everest IMMEDIATELY after booting the system.

Yes 15 is the latest. Either 14 or 15 should correct the CPU identification problem.

Not much of a gamer, last i played on PC was Doom 3 although I love arkham asylum for PS3 and this might sound irrational, but from only a feel standpoint, my Q9450@stock with OS on SSD (gigabyte EX38 board 2GB RAM) ≥ Q9450@3.2 and regular HDD. Seems noticeable to me, I keep it at stock now since i use it as an "always on" home server crunching audio and video for streaming to said PS3
May have been true six months to a year ago but the last firmware revisions solve all that. Yes your Intel still hold a small lead in write speed but read speeds and ease of use are pretty much equal from what I've read.

Well...I have everything I need to build my moms system. A new Gigabyte board, Athlon II Propus 2.6Ghz quad, etc etc, and no Windows 7. This is my mothers first experience with newegg by the way...

You know...I've bought countless devices and what not from the egg over the last several years, and never used eggsaver. And now I NEVER will again!!! It's been sitting in a nearby USPS facility WAITING for sufficient volume to warrant loading it into a truck! Thats what the lady at the USPS store said today. I couldn't believe it. Had I known this was gonna happen, I would have either bought more to insure avoiding DHL/USPS, or specified UPS shipping and paid the 5$ or whatever it would have been. Tomorrow now makes 8 Business days to ship from southern California(About 850 Miles) to my location. Where UPS typically/consistently takes 3 days. Completely unacceptable. Eggsaver indeed!!!

What's really nice is its only 180 miles away, just sitting there. Its been there since day 3. Nice huh... :(

    Oman7,
All the shippers are doing that. It's economy cuts. With UPS the only Trucks and Planes that leave are full with air freight, and whatever regular freight they have there to send.

This is the Route my new WD5001AALS 500GB drive took to get to me in 3 days. That's a lot of stop and go for a 3000 mile trip, and still wind up there on the the third day! Looks to me like UPS has it's shit together!
    http://www.newegg.com/Info/TrackOrder.aspx?TrackingNumber=1ZX799471209005320

That's ten locations in 3000 miles in 3 days. You guys at UPS do a real good job!

    Best Regards,
    Russ

That's pretty good routing for 3 days Russ, and yes Sam it is simpler considering the UK is the size as most of our States.

By the way Russ, have you installed the 500 yet, if so how do you like it.

Long-time fan of UPS myself. Fedex has punted a few packages into my yard... But I know our local UPS delivery guy by name and he always makes sure that the packages are placed into my hands or a family member's. So regardless of the reputation, UPS has always done right by me :)

Not to mention 3 days for delivery no matter what. Never had a late package, ever.

And Sam you can't really talk because last time I checked the UK was about the size of my own home state. When I use newegg the package is usually shipped from New Jersey or California and I still get it in 3 days. Beat that :p lol Morrip

    Oh yeah,

    HAHA Victory!!! I have a woman(girl, lady, dame, pick one)friend! :D:D:D:D I'm such a ladies man :p

My first and last experience with eggsaver was quite similar, took the (small) package 4 days to travel 40 miles to my place. For a while I thought UPS was the best carrier as they had never done anything "wrong" (fedex took a leisurely 3-4 days to ship a small next day air package) until they doubled (~25 went to ~50) the cost of shipping my MB because "the weight didn't match the size". At least UPS continues to deliver stuff on time so they succeed where it really counts lol.

    Fred,
It's a hard drive and it works! LOL!! It was a Christmas present from a member of AD! It works fine, easy to install and mount. It's just for storage of processed DVDRB/CCE files. that way I can play them directly off the hard drive, or burn a new one! I also have the Work Folder from DVDRB on it. The biggest improvement in times with rebuilder is using two physical drives, and put the work and output on the second drive, but adding a third drive and moving the work folder to it cuts about another two or three minutes off of the total time. It's also very quiet!

    Happy Holidays,
    Russ
