Did I fix my sig right?? Sorry if it was too big!

And the scythe looks as good as the cm but is it quiet at full speed?? The specs say 37dBA....if I turn it down to about 1200 rpm let's say, is it still quiet while moving a lot of air?? I might wanna put that on my TRUE, and the coolermasters on my case....

Still too big, 227KB, max is 50KB.

At 1200rpm the fan is quiet, but if you want quiet, just buy a 1200rpm fan. At full speed the Slipstream will still be very noisy, but not as noisy as the FM121.

    See above response.

OK, there took out the sig bars.

Will the scythe still move a lot of air at 1200 rpm? Because if it's quiet with good airflow at 1200 rpm, I might as well just get one of those rather than a 1200 rpm fan w/ bad airflow...

As good as any 1200rpm fan will. The Slipstreams are very good.

apparently you didn't see or read a post I made last night so here it is again. you're going to have to decide if you want quiet or good air flow. it's difficult to have both although the scythe SFF21F listed below would come about as close as any.

Mort: Do you know if the 110 cfm slipstream controllable through the mobo/bios or are you still unsure??

EDIT: Never mind, I read it can be controlled through speedfan...

Mort: Thanks for trying that. But if I adjust it with speedfan once, do you know if I would have to adjust it again every time I turn off and restart my computer? It seems like a really great fan, but it's too loud for me if I can't adjust it.

Greensman: About the coolermaster fan, I see the bracket for the rear slot the controller goes in, but how would I mount the actual controller?

theonjrs: I may be able to let you know for sure whether or not nvidia chipsets are dead...just waiting for a reply...

i hope IF it has any truth in it, that it does not push up the price of the intel/amd chipsets, as i am sure with nvidia being there, making chipsets for intel and AMD sockets, it must have stopped intel/amd from over charging. this is another reason i do not want AMD to pull out of the CPU industry and nvidia/ati out of the GPU. competition is healthy for the consumer

and btw finally we are off the fan topic, it was getting all breezy there for a moment! HAHA

If you mean the way it actually sits... you would have to use a 3.5" bay. If you want to use the rear panel then you will have to remove the controller from the 3.5" bay mount and move it to the rear mount. It's easy as you just have to pull the knob and unscrew the nut holding the controller on the mount. :)

You just THOUGHT we were!!! :p

right, now where to head, to the dreaded ODD or the fans. (IMO both extremely boring)
