    GM,
In a Real World sense, it really wasn't worth it, but in the sense that both of us got what we wanted, it was! It costs $14.34 to ship 5 pounds from Cali to Cincy! USPS isn't any cheaper either. I can't ship through the Business either, because they charge a fee for residential delivery these days. Any way to make a buck, I guess! LOL!! It cost less than half that to ship the D-940 to England! ROFLMAO!!

    Best regards,
    Russ

I was fine with my 30GB for OS till last week. after about a year using Win7 I found a program that needed the install of the VirtualXP mode integrated into all but home versions of 7. It runs about another 5GB so it is now crammed full of goodness. I still have a few GB left but now I will have to actually pay attention to what I do.
Good thing you don't defrag an SSD cuz mine would be too full if it were a regular HDD

The FX5200 plays Sims3 on the d530 sufficiently well so all is quiet in the graphics card department now, plus i got a full refund for the HD4650 i bought previously.

That actually surprises me, obviously I assume all the graphics settings are set to minimum, but considering the HD4650 you bought was 50 times as powerful, it must mean The Sims scales very well.

Dunno, eldest is too engrossed in the game to care about checking settings. She's happy, so i'm happy. If it didn't play well i would have traded the d530 with her for one of my E6400's, and bought a HD4650 again. What i do know is i wouldn't be buying one of those £400+ cards you just posted in the PC hardware Deals thread

That £470 is a steal. Those regularly go for £575, sometimes as much as £620! However, the HD4650 might be 50 times an FX5200, the HD5970 is 15 times an HD4650!

Interesting, you would think a single core CPU would overclock the best, but that's shy of what I've seen AMD's dual and quads get up to.

:D <---- a smiley doesn't exactly express how I feel right now LOL! Cloud nine, ecstatic, jumping up and down, etc. The darn box weighs almost 8 pounds!!! There's that corsair quality I love. I opened the package and smiled immediately. The fresh scent of metals, and paint :) Call me crazy, but I love that smell LOL! I can't wait to hook that bad boy up. Unfortunately, too busy right now. Saturday on the other hand, Oh baby!!!

at a whopping 1.9V!!! Unless given the CPU's infancy, the software/bios are acknowledging it falsely.

Nah, I like that smell too :p Still pales in comparison to the smell of plastic mounting they used back in 1999 though, was a lot nicer then. Probably more carcinogenic too, truth be told :p

What have you guy's heard about the new WD FAEX? I need an OS hdd for another system and was considering getting one of those to replace one of my older, smaller hdd's but I've read a few things about them making a lot of noise.

Even with the heat under control I'd still be worried at that voltage.

Pointless, S-ATA3 for mechanical drives makes no real difference.

Since it's only 10$ more than the FALS, I would think, possibly incorrectly, that the FAEX would be worth it as it's cache is twice as large.

Edit: I was never intending on getting it for it's SATA 3 capability, it's not even going on a SATA3 port lol.

For $10 more the extra cache might be worth it, it doesn't add up to much in terms of real world performance, less than half the extra % the price causes. I think the WD1002FAEX is a 4K sector drive though,so it has merits for that. Ultimately here, the price difference is more than $10 worth, so it makes more sense to buy one in the US.

Haha I love the smell of a freshly unpacked motherboard. Really nothing quite like it ;P

Plastic Mounting? Can you elaborate or just some random jargon? :p

But yeah my favorite smell ever is when you build a fresh new PC with new parts from the ground up. My whole room stinks of new electronics and I love it :)

Yah, I was definitely enjoying that smell earlier LOL!

Here's a size comparison of the VX550 to the HX750. Or at least their boxes :p I was in awe that newegg sent such a large box! Then I picked it up, and opened it LOL! I didn't expect it to be much larger than the 550. Boy was I wrong LOL! Though the PSU itself is generally only heavier. Not sure on its dimensions. I've seen PSU's online that are much larger of course ;) I believe it was a 1300W one that I saw once upon a time. It had to be twice as long! I believe those are generally aimed at servers of course LOL! Although Quad SLI/Crossfire would probably benefit from a beafy PSU ;) Depending on the GPU's power requirement of course...
