    Performance wise they are identical! The main difference is the P45 Northbridge supports a second PCI-E slot for crossfire. The P45-DS3L only has a single like the P43, but the P45-DS3R supports crossfire!

    P43 vs P45

    P45 does incomplete crossfire, and P43 does no crossfire.

    Also that specific P43 motherboard doesn't do RAID.

    Or 8x/8x Crossfire. Which ever you prefer lol.

    Just so we don't confuse Rob, the RAID has nothing to do with the P-43/P-45 Northbridge. Raid is controlled by the Southbridge!

    If the P45 has edited by ddp xfire, the P35 must have edited by ddp xfire.

    well i dont intend on doing cross fire nor raid. so is it any better thaN the p35 boards?

    Yeah probably better than P35. Better overclocking and stuff. Not much though.

    I wouldn't spend the money on it.

    i wouldnt upgrade from a P35 to it, BUT for a new build i would choose it over the P35

    What a startling revelation! But would you please at least give a reason. The history isn't very long for the P43/P45, so what is your opinion based on? I mean I Googled it, and came up with very little other than it doesn't like certain memory!

    I meant from an upgrade point of view. Since he asked about being better than P35 I would he was going to upgrade from a P35 board. The P35 boards are very good. There is no reason to upgrade from P35.

    ummm....more OCability, Xfire, more sata ports.... ETC, those are reasons to upgrade from a P35

    That's exactly why I sent the post! It was smartass, and had nothing to do with the question. Rob has made all of us aware long ago that he doesn't put a high priority on game performance, so what's the point. I realize you gamers aren't happy unless you can see the sheep's testicles swinging in the breeze in AOE III, but for us non-gamers, it's a non issue.

    Rob uses multiple sata drives, and the 4 on the EP43-DS3L would severely limit him! He won't give a rat's butt about XFire, but he has a chance of a better, more stable OC than with the P35!

    Russ, just so we are clear I respect you and I was just joking.

    Also, I'm not really following you. What's the problem here? Why bring up crossfire and gaming again? I already said the P43 doesn't have it and it's broken on the P45 and P35 as far as I'm concerned.

    shaffaaf busted, couldn't happen to a nicer guy, who seems not to abide by the rules, even after repeated warnings.

    Great going ddp, it is nice to see lightning strike on deserving people.
