I don't know gm, i told u before i haven't got a clue about any of this stuff.

My son just wants to be able to talk to the guys on his forums, and i wouldn't mind being able to use skype myself, if i ever get near the new computer! lol!

So any suggestions gratefully appreciated. :)

Yeah, they should be fine. I know Sennheiser are known for their expensive gear, but I have one of their cheapest sets and they're fabulous.

Sam, haha, I know it's horrible and I know I gripe about it. I still use it though, because I don't feel like spending money on another one. It works. That's all I need from it.

As an owner of a 10 quid Labtec desk mic from Maplin, I can empathise with that!

It is indeed. It's not installed yet as it turned up at quarter to 7 this evening while I was eating dinner, and I don't work so well without natural light...

OK - Is there any way to help this resident dummy (me) on how to read the codes on the chips? Any web reference? Planning a Nehalem build - got an Antec 900 in a box and a new Antec 1000 watt PS. Waiting for the X58 chip / SAS controller (in upcoming ASUS board) and, of course, the i7 chip. Saving my quarters and dollars. Not a gamer "yet" but planning on getting there with this next build.
