Ran IntelBurnTest at stock clock speed, passed ok, highest recorded temps were 53ºC main CPU, 66ºC Core (on Core 1 and Core 4)

I thought I'd give the stock cooler a try as it came with the CPU. Go figure who thought INTEL knew what they were doing.
I have a Freezer 7 pro that I originally bought to go on the CPU, but figured Intel to send an adequate cooling fan

    Russ,

I was refering to 45nm cpu's. your E6750 is 65nm and I do believe 100c is the correct TJ Max for that cpu.

another point of interest is that the TJ Max for a Q6600 with GO stepping appears to be 100c while the Q6600 with B3 stepping appears to be 90c.

the stock oem intel fan that comes with the Q9450 is a joke and absolute garbage. it's the smallest and lightest HSF I have ever seen with any retail cpu. I wouldn't use it on my worst enemys pc.

Lol you should have seen the cooler that came with the E2180... It's the same as the normal stock cooler but with only half as much heatsink under the fan!

Well what about the Freezer 7 pro, will it be sufficient. I used it on a Intel 2.4 Dual Core and it seemed to do well

Yeah that will do fine at stock speeds or a mild overclock.

in regards to oem intel hsf's, about the best I have seen came with a P4 2.8 prescott core socket 478. that thing was a brute and weighed a ton.

slap it on and let it rip...

well heres what i did.took it all apart again.slaped on the AC freezer 7 pro myself. tems dropped about 3c i used the credit card technic this time..lol

cleared CMOS. reset all my settings for 3.6ghz. everything is running smoothly again. temps way down. normal temps now..lol 20% OC.im as happy as i can be.

now time to eat some crow. yes im man enough to admit when im wrong.
    Russ
i owe you and gigabyte an appology. all this time i thought these gigabyte P35 boards wasnt totaly compatable with the 45nm chips.well come to find out it was a bad CPU that was causeing the heat issues i had(hey i like that HAD). but haven a new board is nice also..lol
not a bad ratio 3 board 3 cpus in 6 months time frame...lmao!!!!

guess he only thing i have to complain about or OCD about is this dang stuck sensor at idle speeds.
