If you want to look at some cells clearly at this kind of magnification, take as thin a "sheet" as you can manage from an onion and have a look. You could use a razor blade to separate one off. They are a relatively huge compared to a red blood cell so you should get a good look Edit: Just to add cos why not, onion epidermal cell ~0.4mm, red blood cell 0.004mm or 4um, for comparison!
Meanwhile in the anachronism of optical media... Ordered two copies of a concert me and my brother attended on DVD - released independently by the artist so no alternative places to buy. Both discs came DOA (incorrectly manufactured so the spindle centre overlaps into the data layer corrupting it) - I'm not looking forward to this returns process...
Have fun. I edited my post above to give you an idea of what you might see relative to your red blood cell experiment!
Anachronism! I laughed! You'll get no argument from me Thanks Ripper! That does put things into perspective!
I thought you screwed up the monitor when the fan hit it? Am I missing something here... ;D shame on me, the devil mad me say that..... LOL
You are the Devil steve! LOL! Finally just blew out the PC. Or should I say, MEGA tower I was getting video signal dropouts. Though the behavior is more suggestive of a video driver issue. The side panel was barely breathing :S I just don't look forward to disconnecting it. It's on the left side of my desk, where it's somewhat crowded to get to. And my back has been bothering me something fierce! The 60 pound behemoth is no joke LOL! Can't wait for my next build. I have all sorts of ideas for it
I haven't made any final decisions, but basically, I wanna keep the primary basic. And have a separate build, for hard drives and what not. I may even sell the HAF 932. The steel case adds quite a bit of weight to the equation. I may try to focus on chiefly aluminum. And... I may pay to have it custom built. Costly, I'm sure. But why not? It could be exactly what I want it to be If I'm really feeling industrious, I may even make the panels myself. I do have quite a bit of scrap aluminum laying around
That's not a bad idea, I've also thought of fabricating my own case, made of good quality aluminium. My uncle has a mig welder I could use and I can get my hands on a small break press so the rest is easy but time consuming of course. I could even bend radius's and get real fancy. Now if I had the time....
Time and resources. That's what it amounts to We'll see how I feel in february, when I get my lump sum of funds.
It did do, back when a LAN party meant a short cab journey to the venue a couple of miles away. Now that the two places I visit are either 160 or 210 miles, it's a bit much to do, especially by public transport!
That wouldn't work in this house. I hope to remedy that, one way or the other next year. Damned Video Card, warranty void sticker came off while I was blowing it out! I wasn't even directing it at that area much. I hope ether(Starting Fluid) can reactivate the adhesive, should I need to Works on other things
Got wheels on it, but I'm not using them all that distance, even the short corridor journeys I kept making back when the HAF did go to LANs caused one of the wheels to wear so much that it broke in two. The replacement set are a different size, so it sat wonky for a while until I could replace the rest!
Eesh! The wheels aren't tough eh? I'll have to keep that in mind. Though I'll probably sell the case next year. Not sure yet.
have a read of this link if you have an ocz ssd drive. http://www.afterdawn.com/news/artic...utm_medium=tickerbar&utm_campaign=englishNews
Can't say it surprises me. They've been faltering for some time now. I bought their ssd, because I refused to believe that any company could be so bad. But clearly, I was lucky. *touch wood*, my SSD is still doing well. I'm more concerned with my video card and/or video driver. And it better NOT be the Dell U2410 LOL!
