Sam OK thanks I was just checking because you said you couldn't remember where I was from.
Also can you recommend a good gigabyte board and Intel i5 cpu and some good memory as well. Just trying to look at all my options.

There aren't any i5s for 775, you may as well do the upgrade, remember you'll need some DDR3 too. For a board, anything Z97 from Gigabyte - for the CPU, the i5 4570 or something similar, prices vary but performance doesn't change much, but you'll need the 4670K if you want to overclock.

Redice, ebay has one, when searching under this "XIGMATEK Aegir SD128264 Mega Killer".
Otherwise, it seems to be extremely rare now. Even removing the code name, it only returns one result.
It was merely a thought. I'm not exactly highly recommending it. Just have had a positive experience with it myself :)

I'm using stock coolers in my 2 cases & no over heating problems as they are not overclocked.

Thanks for that information ddp and glad to hear that you are not having any issues with the stock cooler. How have you been?

I'm on stock coolers for both my 3470 and 4690S since I'm not overclocking them. They're not great, but they do the job as long as they're kept clean and are pretty quiet on the default fan profile, so you don't need to tweak anything.

A good cooler in the range of the Eco 120 would be something like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

Good performance roughly equal to the CoolIt, cheap, reliable, socket 775 compatible. I can attest to its abilities. Good mounting method as well which is a bonus for air coolers.

The Eco 120 and 120R were part of the first generation of AIO closed loops. The second gen and later have much better reliability and much smaller chance of leaks. The Corsair H70 and H90 are a decent upgrade from the Eco 120 and use 2nd gen parts. My H110 is also 2nd gen. Biggest issue with these is that the first gens used corrugated plastic hoses which would crack around the fitting on the pump or the radiator. 2nd gens use anti-evaporative rubber hose. Before installing it, just give all the fittings a little tug, and any loose connection will usually pop off and show itself immediately. Just try to mount in a way that twists the hose as little as possible.

The failure rate on these AIO closed loops isn't any worse than any other type of PC hardware.

Perhaps not but I'd argue it's still a lot higher than air coolers!

Sam, I'm glad to hear that the stock cooler are working out good for you. Did you see my post to with the list of parts that I picked out for my next rebuild? What do you think of them?

Estuansis, thanks for that information and I will take a look at the Cooler MasterHyper 212 Evo.

    ddp, I'm doing good

I think I will put the stock cooler on today to make sure everything is OK . I had to do a lot of trouble shooting to find out by the computer was just shutting off when poweeed on , before I realized it was the cpu cooler pump.

Looks like a decent board, higher-end than the ones I've used, but similar to older Gigabyte boards that I have. CPU is the right choice, RAM is OK but careful with big heatspreaders if you're going to look at running a large air cooler, sometimes they conflict. IMO the heatspreaders usually aren't necessary unless you're running the memory above spec, something that with modern Intel CPUs is totally unnecessary.

    Sam

OK thanks and you said that the ram was OK. Do you have a better ram that you would recommend?

Also I changed out the cpu cooler on the Lga 775 with the stock cooler. However, the temperature for the cpu is still high( the fan is running really fast and its really loud) but not as high as it was with the coolit cooler. Now I am at loss now as to what's wrong. My guess would be the cpu or something wrong with the motherboard.

When I check the temp in the bios it was between 89-90 but when booted into windows and I checked the temp it was 87. I shut down the computer after that because those temps are way to high.

I presume you cleaned off the old heatsink compound & used what came with the stock heatsink? reseat the heatsink as sounds like it is not seated properly on all 4 corners. 1 of the posts might not be seated properly causing an air gap between cpu & heatsink.
