    They're usually about £4.50 on eBay here Sam, cheaper obviously from Hong Kong/China. They're great, just watch out for the (far too) flimsy plastic 'hinge'

    These hinges seem ok. Not sure how long they'll last though :S I guess time will tell :p

    Looking to see which is the best out of these 2 to use while gaming on my AMD rig seeing that the guy that was here once used these sticks number times tested both is gone.I find myself tore between the 2 in Quality as. I see the memory prices are dropping in past few months due to the release of the new 1155 cpu's and 115 platforms as.I also see newegg removed 1155 cpu's and 1155 platform off there site reason bein.I don't know but.I'm stuck with a budget of 60 bucks to spend some 2x2 sticks to hold me over until further funds come available sure wish. I had his input :(

    There were a couple of people here that used the Kingston. I've used the A-Data for all my customer builds for a good while now, and I've never had a bad stick yet.

    I've always trusted kingston. Never have used A-Data. But knowing Russ's good fortune with them, i'll likely give them a shot one day.

    I've had really good luck with Mushkin(my brand of choice) but they're a bit more expensive than the usual brands. AFAIK they're using better quality components though. Their kits always tend to have tighter timings. My last two kits were 2 x 1GB and 2 x 2GB DDR2-800 at CL4-4-3-10 and 4-4-4-12 respectively. Was very happy with both kits.

    Also had good luck with OCZ, Geil, G.Skill and Corsair. Though some are wary of OCZ lately. As far as I know most memory is the same, outside of specifically cherry-picked kits like my Mushkin XPs, or Russ' Corsair Dominators. As long as it works and is well priced, you're fine.

    The M59's a controversially styled case, but that's quite a nice discount. I'm still a bit wary of OCZ PSUs though.

    That is a unique looking case. Not a bad deal for the combo. Unfortunately, the look of a computer is important to a lot of people. I usually leave that up to them. Makes me laugh when I show some people choices of cases, and they say which one is faster? ROFL!

    I was under the impression, that thermal paste was absolutely imperative. I'm placing a new motherboard in an HP pavilion a1748x(3800 Athlon X 2). Apparently HP(or a repairman) did not apply TIM when putting the Heatsink on. This really disturbs me. I know the guy that used this computer, and he only web browses. So the CPU probably never worked real hard thankfully. This is absolutely disgusting though! I can't help but feel bad for the poor athlon. at least it isn't a 6400 athlon. That sucker would have fried in no time!

    I won't let this get to me though. Yeah! I'm building again LOL!

    Well, I'd say who ever said 2gb is recommended for windows 7, wasn't joking. I got my buddies computer all set. Poor thing is running on 1Gb of cheap 533Mhz(4200) DDR2, and a mere 3800 x 2 athlon. It does good though. It really does need more ram though. I don't dare overclock it though. I'm not sure just where he's gonna put it. And the stock case isn't very good cooling. It'll just make the cpu fan noisier...

    The 250Gb hitachi seems like it may be struggling too. I may have to recommend something better.

    When loading applications and windows, I can tell that the memory is being nearly saturated. Not good.
