7800GTXs? Well, what would you replace them with? The only system that may be able to top them is a crossfire system. If you mean downscaling, I wouldn't bother. I doubt you'll get a price representative of what you paid for those cards if you sell them.

Twin 7800GTXs in SLI can only be topped by twin 7800 GTX OCs. ATI is close to or has released it's competitor for the 7800, but even if you wanted to go ATI, you'd lose too much money on those 7800s for no benefit. SLI only takes identical cards, but can use them better, than crossfire, becuase crossfire is adapted to use identical or different cards.

Like everything else, it's arguable, but untill someone chimes in with an ATI crosffire rules statement, I won't waste time at anandtech or arstechnica.

Given that (at least where I live) Crossfire isn't even out yet, I'm not in a position to say so. I do have a sort of bias for ATi though, so my opinion is limited.

I wouldn't if I were you, get some silent fans instead, same price, just as effective and far safer.

Some fans do perform well, but don't touch water cooling. For keeping a system cool under heavy overclocking in all deartments water cooling will really blow away fans, and it's quiet too, that's nice for PVRs or workstations that run a hometheater.

I love how far water cooling has come.

I'm surprised the mods haven't lept on this yet. Although the thread has been dead for over a week, advertising just isn't on...

Why does everyone always say that? Why not just wait and let it happen, you just like another post? Bored? And the old approaching thunder cliche has got to go, stab it and let it die.

And don't kiss so much ass all the time, it's been awhile, and maybe not this thread in particular, but everyone knows what I'm talking about.

Yeah, when I get off topic, I just call people on the carpet.

Maybe you'd like to clue me in then, who do you think is ass kissing.Maybe you'll think about what you post in future as you really have put your foot in your mouth this time. The way i read your last post is that you are insinuating that ddp is an ass kisser.
Man you are far off track with this...........
