You probably can, but you're better off with one that uses a proper audio connector.

Well I only use a headset microphone that came free with my old Hercules sound card, and use a separate 5.1 box for headphones, but I'd recommend one of the 5.1/Mic combo ones, Zalman headsets are good in the UK but they don't seem to exist in the US...

Do you use your pc for anything other than gaming or do you have a diffrent one for web browsing and such?

I don't really, I use AVG Free Edition and that's it. Keep my data on a separate HDD, if it all goes tits up, I reformat!

Guess thats what I'll do to.

You know you save about 500-1000 dollars if you build you own pc for gaming.

I had my PC built for me for gaming, but that was only an extra £80, so I don't care much, it saves me a lot of hassle.

What like a Dell Dimension XPS? Yes, probably even more than that figure.

another reason the asus is cheaper than the other one, is because the sli can run in 8x8 or 16x16 odviously the 16x in sli is better..
thats the same with crossfire 200 and crossfire 3200. ::)

It's only 8x8 of course if you use SLI, you still get 16x in single slot mode.

Yeah, right now on my emachine I have avg free, but I don't think it does its job. So for the new PC I'll prob. get Trend Micro, thats what my Dad uses and it seems to work pretty good.

No.. i know that in single slot mode, it does 16x but in SLI mode.. the rason the other was more sepensive is because in SLI they can run in 8X or 16X.

Yep, for sure, but it means two chipsets, at heightened expense and heat!
