The Pinheader holes are closed!!!!!!

    ok...on my xbox motherboard....the holes for the pinheader are filled....I am installing the X3.......i kno i can use the wires and solder them.
    But can i use the X3 solderless adapter even tho the pinheader holes are filled?

    you will have to desolder the holes to install a solderless adapter

    Here's the cheapest way to remove the solder. Go to RadioShack and buy a small soldering iron (they are like $4.00) or so and a roll of desoldering braid. With the Xbox's MoBo removed and the iron hot, place the braid on top of the holes and the tip of the iron right on top of the braid VERY GENTLY!!! The braid will absorb the solder like a sponge. ALWAYS withdraw the soldering iron and braid at the same time, otherwise the braid will bond to the copper tracks with the risk of damage.
