no more than one neph can exist in any spot at one time, or the universe will collapse on itself.

    auslander,
both of them are very nice, the one u made and the one in ur sig although saving them as .gif takes away from the quality, ur best bet would be .jpeg :)

they were a little too big as jpegs, though; otherwise i would have. but thank you ^.^

one thing i like about saving them as a .gif is that it adds a little grittiness to it by scaling back the colors and adding a bit of texture. very...1930s chicago :p it's one thing i think is cool, albeit inadvertantly.

myspace has a max image size of 600 kb. so just open the pictures in Paint, shrink/crop them until they are small enough to be saved as a .jpg or other suitable file type under this limit, then upload them. if you acquire Photoshop or G.I.M.P., you have a lot more flexibility. either way, easy as a well-paid prostitute on ladies' night.

so if the original pic is...500x500 pixels, you want to crop it so that it stays 500x500 pixels but kind of zooms in on any particular point?

if you crop the picture down to zoom in on an area, then stretch the picture back out to the original size (x pixels by x pixels), you're not going to shrink the file size below 600 kb...all you're going to do is distort the picture and make it look like crap.

just take your picture in paint. use the rectangle copy button to select what you *really want*, copy it to a new picture...scale it down to a decent size, and save. see what the file size is. if it's over 600 kb, scale it down some more. trial and error for you, i think.

Actually, saving as .gif doesn't reduce the quality. it just depends on what settings you have. ie:colour depth. the greater the colour depth the better the resolution....but the bigger the size. in order to save space you sometimes have to drop the colour back a bit, resulting in a poorer looking pic but you manage to meet the requirements for the sig rules.
