thanks for the support guys. It's not just the fact that the sig that I worked hard on for him has been messed with and then posted, it's also that the sig he is now using is even a sh*tty rip of the version I made for him. AND, if I had been contacted first and told that "Hey, I don't really like the corners. can you maybe fix them up for me?", then I would have done a proper job at fixing it, and not half assed it.

Just because somone makes a sig for you, does not mean that you own it.

ps i did ask to fix the coners but you and everyone eles said its suppost to be like that,i didnt want to just flat out say i dont like the coners cuz thats rude, but i guess what i did to it was still rude........

and ddp i heard him the first time he told me not to use it, you dont always have to repeat a demand or even a forum rule that everyone is already telling me..now if its days later and i still dont listen i understand cuz u being a mod.....

What you did was probably wrong, but I believe you made an honest mistake and it happens I wouldn't worry about it to much as long as you have learned from your mistake. I actually had been following all of this and was going to stick up for you because I was pretty sure you didn't purposly steal that signature, but I wasen't sure until now. I thought they were all being a little hard on you, but I can also understand where Bubba1982 is comming from. I have designed thousands of custom DVD labels and covers just to find them all over the internet being ripped off and claimed as someone elses work. So I just quit posting them to the forums now. It is a lot of hard work and a lot of time put in on this stuff just to see someone taking your creation and hacking it up or claiming they did the work. Again though I didn't believe you attempted to do this on purpose and it was an honest mistake I am sure Bubba1982 can find it in his heart to forgive you (at least I hope) and we can all carry on.

in this age of effects and CGI wizardry that still kept under 50k, i think there's something magical about a very simple, clean-cut sig such as mine. thus, mine is my favorite and i say it's the best on the site. ^.^


except for ddp. he's so good, we can't even see his as our eyes are not worthy.

do you guys use gimp to do your sig.......i know some use photoshop but i dont have photoshop,unless there is a way to download it for free....but i do have gimp, you guys know of any good and free program i could use? thanks..

of course you can PS for free, we just can't help you with that.

i use PS, but gimp will do most the same stuff. try GimpShop. google it and give it a whirl.

you know... there is a legal and free way of yetting PS...

d/l CS3 beta from the adobe site and then when its installed go to c: > program files > adobe > photoshop CS3 > AMT > then delete "application.sif"

TOTALLY LEGAL!

 

that involves piracy and cracking, which is not allowed on this site.

i didnt mean piracy stuff .....i dont like hacked progams f.c.s up my comp....but more on its not allowed? what do you mean, they have a forum here on afterdawn all about illegaly coping dvd movies...isnt that piracy....or is it a (SIG) rule?

if you've got videos and whatnot that you've downloaded, the rules say we don't care about the source, we'll help you burn them and whatnot.

however, it's specifically stated that cracking/hacking is off-limits.

i'm not here to have a philosophical debate with you over legality; do that in the courts and you get put away. i'm just telling you the facts.

here's the rules. you desperately need to read them.

just because it's illegal in some countries doesn't make it illegal in others, such as Finland, where AD is based. cracking is still illegal there, though, so we have these rules.
