Heheh. Andre, that's amazing work! /me remembers back to when he used to be really into PhotoShop.. Don't have the time anymore :-(
I wish I could create decent sigs; I really need to buckle down and learn to use photoshop properly rather than "trail and error". We've got to remember though that anything "artsy" is also a matter of taste. I thought I'd post a couple of my paintings/drawings. I happen to think they're pretty good though but others, as with all artsy stuff, think they stink LOL! Again, its personal taste (and a little ego LOL!) 1. The face of my friends cat. It's oil on canvas and quite large; it was an experiment in creating paintings specifically to be seen from a distance: 2. Boats at dock. About 4 ft long and 20 in high. White paper and black wax pencil (fancy crayola LOL!). Can you spot the mistake I made? 3. The face is actually all grey; screwed it up trying to fix the brightness in photoshop: Ripper wrote: I've got to agree with you on that one rip. I worked hard to study painting and drawing; it just isn't right to download something, manipulate it and say its yours. We are a talented bunch here though. With me, its a blank paper of blank canvas (of the cloth variety) while with you guys, its a blank canvas in photoshop but we needn't manipulate the work of others, we needn't download fonts ... we do original work in the truest sense of the word and that's what art is. But again, its taste, some will like our stuff; others won't.
I like your boats piece Gerry; very good. BTW, if you post the original of that face, i'm sure one of us can fix up the brightness for you in a snap. Telling you how to do it in future, of course ;-) And nice to finally agree on something Gerry. Can't help but feel I've given you a bit of stick over the past month and we never saw eye to eye, so to speak, but thanks for the comments.
@Rip ... thanks. I screwed up the back seat of the middle boat though; I guess I wasn't paying enough attention and colored it in when I mean to highlight around it LOL!
You mean where it looks vaguely like a solid black line? Barely noticeable; give yourself a break ;-P
well...since your all posting, i will show my two latest. DVDBack - that is lovely as tshirt design i think. its a nice use of vector and brushes. you should go visit cgpad.org gerry - the cat is interesting. it almost looks like it was made in ms paint. and the face...do you have a deviantart account, because it is terribly familiar.
mrs b, the meghan fox art is incredible...truly. edit: and i will sign up for that artists site as well, looks interesting thanks for the heads up..although i dont have a tablet, nor can I draw
Hey! Just wondering if someone could get me a siggy. The theme would be Dead Kennedys (my current favorite band). Here are some photos. Thanks. Corn
@corn where did you get your current sig??? I have been trying to get something similar ever since I got into this forum for the first time and I have seen so many different designes of it that it just makes me want it even more!!! Would really appreciate if you told me how you got it!!
