@bombayboy Obviously you didnt see the score at the end of day 2 before you posted this "DRIBBLE" Yep I guess you can say the English are going well...only 3 down for less than 50....good batting on, as you say a "BATTING PITCH" Flintoff Harmison Hoggard I guess you can say the Australian bowlers were to "quack" for them Oh dear, only 445 runs behind.
...like i said...you pitches are dodgey. Day one batting, Day two batting, near the end of the day cracks opening up..day 3 was just crap batting...Die i say! Die!
@bombayboy, I see in your Home page you list cricket as one of your interests. This being so then you should know that you are talking a lot of . Australia came out on day 3, immediately after dismissing England for 158, played on the SAME pitch and then went on to score 1/160....same cracks in the pitch...same conditions. Next thing you'll be blaming the Umpires ...or the crowd...or the commentators...anything but a poor performance by the English and a good performance by Australia. As I said...GET REAL and accept the fact that in this game England have been There are 4 more games, surely England will find a pitch suitable enough so that @Lethal_B, It seems you appear to accept the fact and have NOT made any excuses, Cheers.
wooooh! lol, calm down buddy, its just some friendly banter... Unfortunately i am better at playing then analysing. I'm no umpire...i try my best... Anyway! 2 more days! Englaaaaand!
How encouraging...the English have finally found some form and are making a game of, hopefully it will continue for all 5 tests Have to mention poor old Bell
Pity you guys don't give the current score when you post, considering I'm not really interested enough to go looking for myself. I grew up in western NSW, where the school yard was glary white quartzite rock, not a blade of grass in the whole place. Add to that the normal summer temperatures that floated between 100 to 120 degrees F and back from mid-morning to early evening. Cricket in that place meant standing in the middle of nowhere getting sunburnt like crazy, and even a hat didn't protect from the glare from the ground. Anyway, I'm still not all that interested in cricket (and that guy with the SMS compulsion doesn't help), but I hear that we are beating the poms at the moment. Some scores would be nice.

Ya useless poms The barnesy the acca daccca the midnight oil and the commos and the beating our wifes. nah im messing around who cares about the cricket i dont anymore.
At the momement things are looking a little shakey for England, only 2 wickets in hand and another 6 hours to play. I must say their second innings performance is worthy of a good forthcoming battle in Adelaide. Dads Army has come to the fore...McGrath...7 wickets and Shane Warne 5 Aus has only 1 player aged under 30 yrs
Well played by australia...wtf was england doing... Take the game. Hopefully the next one will be better...2nd innings was some consilation.
LOL !!! Mate we have a Persian saying that goes like this: What I found really funny is how we got you out before lunch. I went out on the last day of play in the morning and I had to do somethings and i though i would come back and watch the continuation i turned on the TV and it was normal programming. What a shame. I just hope England can put up more of a fight and more of the England team chips in and helps their Capitan. I have to give credit to Flintoff because he played wll and so did Simon Bell for his 50. But to beat the Aussies you English Need at least 2 players to have Century's otherwise, you can just be tourists till you guys have to go home. The funny thing is The game of Cricket came from England and a bunch of convicts are beating you guys into the ground. But i have to say we lost the Ashes last year in England so to truly win the ashes back fair and square we have to go back to England and beat you at your grounds, that way the victory will be even sweeter. Bring on the next Test!!! GO AUSSIE!!!
well england's second batting innings showed some form. hopefully this will continue to adelade, where the pitch (according to our media) should be friendly to england. p.s love this image
Well let me give CREDITwhereit's due, a splendid performance by the Pommie batsmen....the BESTthing that happened so far for them was the first 3 dismissals...they just plodded along and scored so slowly. Lets hope England go on to make a huge score and then make us chase and see how good we are. Ouch:...Australia 1/28
And dont forget peitersen....158 (for the third time in his career), we've got a TEST match on our hands now.
Here is the latest article on the ashes. I thought people would like to read it. http://my.afterdawn.com/borhan9/blog_entry.cfm/1454/ashescricket We have some work to do with the bat today. And lossing one wicket does not make it any easier.
