Either way, the Dell monitors are far better.

    tee hee!

The E series isn't much more expensive than the others though, you don't have to go with an Ultrasharp.

Then you'll just have to shell out more.

Given that it's already faulty, I wouldn't recommend it. I doubt you'd get very far anyway.

well its 2.21Ghz, i could actually OC to 2.4Ghz but it'll overheat, unless i buy a new gaming fan that can cool it much more than the stock fan...as you said its already faulty...

Hmm, well, pretty much any cooler is better than stock, but if you don't want to pay for a new motherboard, a new cooler is also going to cost money!

Didn't set your sights very high! You can get 1GB graphics cards now, but the one to have is a 768MB 8800 Ultra.
Nvidia don't make motherboards by the way, only chipsets for them.
Oh, and if you find a silent 1000W Power supply (not that you need one), you let me know, the Tagan Turbojet, OCZ ProXstream and Enermax Galaxy at least are all very noisy.

For once, a post in this thread that's actually ambitious. I applaud that.

As often as I can be. Until I get an ISP setup in my student house, expect periodical replies from me, rather than constant.

Oh and yes, that was about your post.

    Hi all,

If a guy had around $3,000 to spend on a decent gaming computer. What suggestions would you have for hardware to put it in?
