    Not to mention slower.

FBDIMM RAM= Slower than DDR2, much less DDR3
Two Quad cores yield less performance.
The skulltrail board is very bad for overclocking, so all that water cooling is wasted.

    It's just a horrible choice.

I wouldn't. Even if i was rich I'd feel horrified about spending so much money. If I had limitless monies I'd probably still get an X48-DS4..

edited. I did say DQ6 but of course they're not compatible with Thermalright heatsinks...

I would get a Rampage Formula.

If I was rich as hell, I wouldn't get there by buying stuff like Skulltrail, but still I think I could spend 280 on a Mobo :)

    Not watercooling the graphics cards?
Lol @ powercolor, all that money and you're not even using quality components? I know powercolor make the only 1GB card, but as tests proved, it makes no damn difference to ATI hardware, no idea why.

and there will be water blocks for that aswell, there were for the 3870X2s. ofcourse that probably means more fans and a 120.3 rad for 2 X2s, or even a 120.4, which would mean a move to a TJ 07, or a Lian Li PC-P80B

A 120.3 rad could easily cope with two 4870X2s if it was a good one.
