I'm new to all of this modding and I have seen the xecuter v3 chip and have heard of it from a friend that has the v2. He can rip games to his xbox by simply putting the game into the cd drive and he has a 120gb or larger hard drive.

If i simply buy the xecuter v3 and the solderless kit can i rip games to my existing hard drive if i stick them into the cd drive on my xbox? and how exactly do i buy a new hard drive and get games onto it before i put it into my xbox case and use it?

what i now have is a guide to installing and modding the xbox.

I found it on the web at xbox scene.com

but how and where can i exactly get the latest bios and what not to finish the mod? i can't find it on mIRC?? and where to get dashboard from

I'm doing the Xecuter v3, solderless adapter, 120gb or greater hard drive, (I want to transfer all my old stuff too) and have it so that i can burn games.

does the chip automatically allow me to burn games while it is on (does it come pre-programmed?)

Xenium ICE is far better than X3.

I suggest you read up on both chips before you buy an X3.

    Xenium ICE is far superior.

Easier to install, and has all the features you could possable expect in a modchip.

    check it out here www.teamxodus.com

first buy a chip. i have a xenium and am partial to those.
you can find bios a number of places. youre probably not connecting to the right server in mirc.
go back to x-s and look for how to use 'the usual places'
once you have a chip and a bios get a auto installer like slayers and it will have the programs needed to put games on your new hdd not to mention format that new hdd to use in the first place.
