Thebox PVR scrambled or Bad channels T1 PROBLEM ???

Yes I am on N*L dublin , but as I said in my post I brought the box to my mates house who has all these channels and done a factory reset and re scan and still I cant get these chanels but he has them all on his box

Am I wasting my money buying a booster under these circumstances

Also when I do a manual scan on that frequency the level and quality bars at the bottom are at 85% each so does that not indicate that I dont need a booster

and I aslo had these channels where I live now

 

same problem here in waterford my friend got the same box and has all the channels wondering if transfering software chanel data from his might solve this

this is the most baffling problem ever , i have seen some technical probelms in my life but this is unsolvable

I have even gone out and bought a booster and still nothing cant get anything on frequency 347500 which is utv bbc1 and 2 and others

nobody seems to know the problem or how to solve it

any ideas would be welcome willing to try anything at this stage

He did'nt direct me anywhere as I got no PM from him but if you have additional firmware for the PVR box i'll give that a shot

what's the worse that can happen

 

I have sent it to jbvideo, (resident PVR guy here), he is trying it out and then I will put it in Eamos if it works out. BTW its the January revision as that was the very last one for the PVR and was Beta at best.

Reading back on your problem, I know you said you reverted back to the old firmware, but did you do a factory reset and rescan after rollback?

sorry but what is Eamos

I did'nt know that there was a Jan update for the PVR box thought the last one was oct07, but this jan one is beta right ?

have you tried it out yet

 

Eamos is at the bottom of my post, have a look lots of info on the PVR there. Yes there is a Jan one and its Beta but I have sent it to jbvideo for evaluation and will then get it into Eamos if its OK.

Sorry I forgot about that, now thats is important, theres my month planned Enjoy let us know how it works out.

 

I would not advise anyone to update to the new fimware posted above. It is very buggy and even though the guide is now much quicker it loads the channels every time you press epg instead of storing them in memory. I would hold on till these bugs are fixed.

 

Funny that as there are quite a few people who are using it and havent reported that problem. I know there are bugs and I did say it was Beta but our resident PVR guy jbvideo is trying it out at the moment.

So far reports are good, but he will do a write up when he is finished with all tests, recording etc.
