Here's my private message from the user matthk He doesn't like my links to my personal web sites in my signature apparently. Apparently mattthk hasn't noticed that I've posted OVER 500 helpful messages here in the Afterdawn Mac section. He also hasn't noticed that my guide at the top of the mac forum (which is a sticky) has been read by THOUSANDS of users who have posted public and private messages of thanks to me for helping them out. Does mattthk send nasty privage messages to every one of the millions of users on internet message boards who put their web sites in their signature? Sounds like he has a little too much time on his hands and a bit of a bad attitude. edit: sig removed.
hey, i clicked on your links and didn't get all bent out of shape. so what, you like golf, i could maybe see it if they were links to sites about punching cute, fuzzy baby animals.... but golf? matthk, did mediaguru come to your house and force you to click on his links??? by the way, if it wasn't for the folks like mediaguru that visit this site and put their TIME and EFFORT into answering questions (some good, some redundant) there would be a lot of us that would be clueless. mediaguru, landor, trier, etc...keep on truckin' & 10-4 good buddies. (i want to be a trucker or a pirate when i grow up)
i see that in the forum rules that people arent allowed to abuse the PM FUNCTION.If you think this issue requires attention, please forward it to either the mods or the admin staff via the feedback form and they will sort it.Apologies for the inconvience, this type of behaviour isnt what AD is about.
Last week on a torrent site under comments on an upload someone was questioning me uploading it, I mean it's free.
Well instead of posting this in the open forums PM a Mod next time. And, links pimpin other sites isn't allowed. It's considered advertising So ya got to remove it. Us Mods have discussed this with the admins already. No links to other sites, unless it relates to a thread topic. And even if it is related to the topic it has to be a link to a specific thread and not the forum home page.
Well you've certainly put in your time, and I'm sure lots have benefited ... but ya still have to remove those links. I don't get around to the MAC forum, cause I don't have one If I had seen it I would have asked you then to remove it. Also, matthk is the nick? I couldn't find any post by that nick. Double check, I'll send him a PM letting him/her know that is not allowed.
