    Greetings,
I try to convert avi to mpeg with tmpgenc 2.5 in NTSC format... but when I play it in the DVD Player, the video skips, and audio?

Is there a special adjustment I need to make? A special program to burn it to disk? I just put in a RW and use windows "burn this file to disk."

Im sure its been asked 1000's of times but can I be spared the clushing?

Strange. Maybe there's a problem in the media (did you burn at high speed instead of burning at your unit's minimim unit?) or a bug in the program tou use to make the VCD? VCDs are the most compatible media (between VCD and SVCD) you can use!
The suggesstions are written in the 'sticky' threads (did you read it?).
    Standard VCD (read http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110106 ) = 80' movie per 80' CD-R.
KVCD (reat http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/124272 ) = are slightly worse, but they have quality rather acceptable; 120' in a 80' CD-R.
