Hey im trying to convert this .avi file to mpg, so when it is coverting the movie about 1 hr 39 min, it will come up with an error that says Index scan line out of range -144. Any ideas on what to do? this only has happened w/ this particular movie so far

Perhaps the avi is damaged. Get virtualdub. Open the file in virtualdub (the avi file ofcoarse). Click video and select full processing mode. Click audio and select full processing mode. Click file, save avi. This avi will be massive but thats your best bet for tmpgenc to read it.
