Tmpgenc doesn't recognize VBR mp3 audio.
Do a search here, to get the audio out of the avi using virtualdub, or virtualdubmod. There's at least 3 tutorials on it.

    Hi

I am new to the tmpgenc software, I recently use it to add the subtitle but when I played back the mpeg file, I saw the subtitle but no audio.

I played the original avi file just to confirm and it has audio from the avi file.

Can you tell me where I have done wrong?

    thanks in advance

    Regards

    Probably nothing.
Get Gspot, open the original avi.
Find out what kind of audio it has.
If it's VBR MP3, or AC3, tmpgenc won't recognize it.
You'll have to follow the advice I gave in the above post if it's MP3.
    If it's AC3, download the AC3 codec.
