    I can't tell by looking at the picture but as long as the specs say it will turn 1 cable connection into 2 (in so many words) it will work.

    Did you install all the drivers needed?
    Go to My Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager and see if there are any question marks fir drivers missing on your system.

    But are there any question marks indicating that there are drivers missing?

    I'm not sure then. Backtrack your install...see if there is something you may have disabled in the process with the WinTV settings. Maybe you just accidentally pressed mute on your PC ;) You can go to the website and download drivers and even the install disc...Give that a try...see if there are any updates.

    Hi Uniique1,

    Hoping for a bit of advice if you wouldn't mind?
    I have a Dell latitude cpi and was wondering if the Pinnacle PCTV USB adapter you mentioned in this thread would work for me?
    I need to hook it up to my xbox, with the added possible advantage of recieving TV! Sounds almost too good to be true, is it?
    Can you please help out?

    Thanks.

    @fuzzyburt
    lol, like the name man!!
    Anyway, yes...it should work. What needs to be taken into consideration is your PC's performance capabilities. Speed, memory and sometime video card can be a factor. But it should work. Because it's hardware, most computer stores will let you return the adapter. You can always try it and hold on to the receipt just in case.

    Thanks man,

    I'm hoping to wipe everything on this peice of crap laptop as it is very tired and slow so hopefully it will do the job with little on it.
    I have checked out the product you mentioned on ebay but there was no exact matches but lots of different versions? Can you help out here? Do you think it's maybe best to buy one from an authorised dealer?

    By the way it is a laptop and I don't think it has VGA output but then again i'm not entirely sure what one looks like.
    When you mention video card, will my laptop have one of these?
    Much appreciated for your help!
