Theres probably a few other threads like this in existance already... but,.... Think we should all bounce ideas off each other in a simple way - Lets write down our top 5 manufacturers and maybe, or maybe not, qualify them and maybe any other notes you can think of (how long you've had them, if any died, price, whatever)... Suppose I should go first: I would say: 1. Tayo Yurden, 2. Mitsui 3. Mitsubishi 4. Ritek 5. TDK yep, TDK, been using their Audio CD's for years now - not one has ever died. Anyone have anyproblems with the Verbatim DLP Mitsubishi's? They are made in several locations... and people seem to have a bad feeling about this. But has anyone any definate proof as to whether they are worse or not? Thanks! Mark
I've got problems with Verbatim DataLife plus Super Azo 48x "goods of EU origin". I can burn them at 16x with the 24x CRW 3200 from Yamaha, but not 24x. They burn, but the result is barely readable, sometimes not at all. I can't make any top 5, because I trust no avalable brand here.
Mitsubishi / Verbatim azos burn very well here, using Yamaha F1. No wonder, since it is the recommended brand by Yamaha..

Thing is, they dont mention anything to do with Super Azo or 'Anything' Azo -- does this mean they genuinely ARE manufactured by Mitsubishi? They are unbranded though The DLP in Jewel case looks unbranded mind.... I'm always keen on a top layer, just for protection. It gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling Lev
1. TY 2. Mitsubishi Chemicals 3. Kodak 4. TDK 5. Sony have many old Sony, TDK, and Kodak discs that still work great my TY and Mistubishi are quite new but ive never had a problem with them never used Mitsui and my results are mixed with Riteks mainly using TY now because Mitsubishi are too expensive
