Has anyone hacked these HD-DVD players to where we can use the USB ports for jump drives or maybe a external drive?

Hell, the player is just a Pentium 4 2.8gig with 1gb of PC2700 ram that's running Linux. I know there is some of you guys out there capable of getting these ports working. The drive is a regular E-IDE drive that can be slapped into your computer.

The OS is placed on a 256meg flash drive that is plugged into a USB header, i'm sure it can be hacked easily but I don't know Linux.

I can plug in my stick and get power but nothing on the screen.

The problem is getting someone to risk turning their player into a brick. ;)
