Toshiba SD-V280 wont play but power dvd on laptop will

    Hi there, I have been using DVD2SVCD to convert DVD's to SVCD. My laptop has no problems playing the cd's but my Toshiba SD-V280 wont play them. The Toshiba is supposed to play CD/R's and VCD. Is VCD not the same as SVCD? I have been buring with Nero.

    Thanks for the info. I will probably stcik with the SVCD. If I need to run it on my TV I 'll just use my Svideo off of my laptop.
