I am repairing an old pc for a friend and he has a desktop pc. Ive opened the thing up to find i have a desktop motherboard of which i had trouble finding what actual motherboard it is. After much much searching i believe i have found the model of motherboard it is. Its a P4G533 Asus motherboard for a Compaq Desktop (c2001-2002) I have no audio drivers and next to no graphics drivers. Help is deperately needed. Thankyou
Have you tried this real good search engine called Google? I typed in, P4G533 Asus drivers, and found a whole bunch of pages! Took me about 10 seconds. (1) Asus P4G533 motherboard with Intel 845GL chipset, Realtek ALC202A codec for audio, and Realtek RTL8100 for Ethernet. Download and install the drivers in the following order, after doing the XP install: 1. Go to the Intel web site and download the 845 chipset motherboard drivers for ANY Intel 845 motherboard. It is absolutely imperative to Install these first! 2. Then download the Intel Extreme Graphics 845 drivers for ANY Intel 845 motherboard with on-board graphics, and install. 3. Last of all, go to the Realtek web site and download the drivers for the chips noted above. Install the Realtek drivers. --------------------------------------------------------------------- (2) ASUS P4G533 uses the Intel 82845G Extreme Graphics Controller. Details of the specifications of this chip are available from Intel here: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scr...uctID=865&OSFullName=Windows*+2000&submit=Go! The driver download page (for multiple operating systems) is here: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df/Product_Filter.asp?ProductID=865 ---------------------------------------------------------------------
