I have an interactive cd-rom etext that I bought for a college class. The cd requires a registration number to be used for homework submitting, so I'm not looking to pirate it or anything. I payed $60 for it, and want to make a backup to protect the original.

The problem is that, when I make a copy (with CloneCD or ImgBurn), the mounted ISO doesn't fool anybody. It still asks for the original cd. I also direct copied the original to a cd-R using CloneCD (slysoft), but the disc will spinup and drop down several times before asking for the real cd.

    Here's my question:
Is there a way to see what kind of copyright protection is in place on the disc? Any suggestions on getting this to work as a mounted ISO?
