    Hi. I am embedding a YouTube video using the following script:

    <embed src='http://www.youtube.com/whatever' autostart='false' volume = '50'/>

    .... but the total play time of the video is long, and I would like to show only a few seconds. Is it possible to stipulate the amount of time that an embedded video will play? I am aiming this page at a wide audience, some of whom won't be that comfortable with computers, and want to make it as fool proof as possible.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

    i don't think it can be done...

    your alternative would be to 'acquire' the video ;)
    crop it down, re-upload and then display the new video...

    you might wanna ask the owners permission though
