    Hi --

I just received a VCD from Turkey that was apparently made in a TV station in Istanbul. It contains a "DAT" file about 170 MB and plays fine on my region free Digix player. It will not however play on my PC using Windows Media Player, nor will my PC copy the DAT file so I could re-name and play with it. PC running Win2K gives a "DOS error" when I try to copy the file. Yet, I can duplicate the VCD using Nero. What gives? This disk is obviously a home-made (well, office-made) CD-R so I doubt anything terribly exotic is going on here.

Any ideas on how to get this file off the CD?

    PS
Tried the VCDEasy conversion tool and no dice. Error code says it's not a true mpeg file.
